God made a promise to Abram, (later Abraham), that he would be the father of a great nation, chosen by God to be His own.
God kept the promise, but warned that if His people were disloyal, the many promises of great blessing would become punishments.
The bible gives the full account of what happened to the Jews, and the history books verify it.
So don't you agree that regarding the Jews, the bible is accurate?

Never @ 22:02
No, they have always proven accurate. And are still unfolding today.
Theland, I have had a quick read through of some previous posts - your claims about the accuracy have been questioned, disputed... often.
Never mind the chosen people. What about the frozen people? The Eskimos? Eh? :o) oops! Can't call them that any more can we? Innuits.
Theland, your post at 2.53 Tuesday is one of the pottiest - and most dangerous - I’ve ever read on these pages. Devils, demons, prophecies you consistently claim to have been fulfilled despite having been given evidence that they are not. You arrogantly and falsely present yourself as a ‘teacher’ and urge nailit to listen. Take your own advice and listen. You WILL learn something.
So people all over the world want to worship a deity that promised a group of people special privilidges but got the *** when it turned out that these people were just the same as all the other humans!
So all the other humans now collectively don't like this group and also despise those who follow other creeds or deities.
Do me a favour! its a load of outdated crowd controlling tosh!
//How do you ever hope to learn anything, when you greet what I write with a tirade of anger and sarcasm?//

The 'holier than thou' & 'Greater am I' attitude just DRIPS from that single sentence!
Sounds like something that Jim Jones / Sun Myung Moon / David Koresh would have said!
//Satan and his minions will use every trick in the book to keep you away from the truth, and where you are concerned it is working//
So, Satan and his minions are more persuasive/powerful than God?
Wow!

//Once you have learned something about it, you can put it to the test yourself, and if you find it lacking in accuracy,(once you understand the facts), then you can dismiss it//
Thats what I did with the Bible. I used my mind for once. And used it ever since.

//Until then, you should do yourself a big favour and begin to listen for a change. That alone you will find rewarding//
Eh?

//He says, ''I stand at the door and knock,'' remember, the door handle is on the inside//...

Knock, knock.
Whose there?
Its Jesus. I want to come in.
Why?
To save you.
To save me from what?
To save you from I will do to you unless you let me in.

Most of the prophecies in the Bible concern Israel or the Jews. Most have already been fulfilled, a few await their final fulfillment.
As an exercise you could list every single OT prophecy concerning Jesus, and then see how they match up against His life as revealed in the NT
As an exercise, you could read up exactly how many NT prophecies were taken out of context by the NT writers.
fiveleaves, I have read that the NT was tailored to fit in with the OT prophecies.

Apart from the fact that the Jews weren't expecting a spiritual messiah (and still aren't) but rather one more practical, so a bit of a problem there for prophecy, why do you think that might be? Think carefully.....
I feel sorry for you, Naomi, locked into literal wordings of translated texts passed through several translations by church committees with their differing axes to grind.
Venator, Did you take your user name from Latin or something more fanciful? Since I’ve only noticed you in this section twice and each time digging at me, the former is certainly appropriate - but for someone who prefers fantasy the latter is also appropriate. Whichever way, it’s a good choice. Well done.
This is human nature at work again.

Theland wants to believe that the 'prophesy' is true, so he will look for anything he can shoehorn into what he calls 'evidence' and present it as such.

Gainsayers such as naomi will simply look for what are in my view, far more convincing arguments that the 'prophesy' is nothing more than tilted interpretation.

But at the end of the day, each gets what they want out of their view, and continues to refuse to entertain the view of the other.

Could be taken as read - but never is ...
If all was taken as read there would be no discussion which wouldn't bode well for those with a financial interest in AB.

That's not what I said.

I said that 'this' - meaning your endless exchanges with the fervents, could be taken as read - and never is.

I have stopped debating faith with Theland, it's a complete waste of time, his and mine, although he may not see it that way - me needing to be 'saved' and all that.
and god said it will be a damned long read
and the land said - I havent finished yet!

prophesy fulfilled - ha!
I know it's not what you said, AH. It's what I said.
