Scientists and philosophers can sing their heads off, and get nowhere from the shallow unimaginative.
Somebody dragged In a mulberry bush, but I for one won't be dancing around it.
Discussion? Yes.
Defence in the face of the usual put downs?
No thanks.
Take over the show.
Theland, I’ve lost count of the number of threads you’ve started and flounced out of because someone has asked you to provide evidence to support your claims - and now you’ve done it again. No one has put you down. You don’t want discussion because that involves interacting with people who require you to provide some evidence to support your claims. ‘I can’t think of another reason so God must have done it’, which is what you’re saying, isn’t evidence.

Has God always existed?
Question Author
Naomi, please stop using words like flouncing and wormimg.
Both cast doubt on my honesty and integrity.
Neither is nice.

If this is a serious quest for knowledge, we have to use all of our resources, and each being to the table what we have also learned from others who have, for our benefit, studied all of their lives, in such diverse fields as science and philosophy, and then it is up to us to try and bring it all together.
But remember, a million people will have a million different encounters with God, or none at all.
It is not one size fits all.
Theland; it seems to me that you are not in the least interested in "a serious quest for knowledge". You think you already have knowledge, and you won't accept any serious thought about stuff other than what you believe.
Question Author
Atheist, you are so wrong.
I give serious consideration to all claims of knowledge.
I don't know how you reached your conclusion.
Theland, because you really believe you know the truth, don't you? I know that you claim to be open minded, but to be honest, you never take part in any honest and open-minded discussion - you usually accuse your interlocutors of persecuting you and then you disappear in a huff. Before you reply (if you do) give my words a bit of a thought.
Question Author
Let's begin then.
Let's start with just one of the big questions.
How did life come from from non life?
Or better still, you pick one.
//Let's start with just one of the big questions.
How did life come from from non life?//

Maybe it came from a man made of dirt and his rib wife?
Theland. How did god exist?
Oh, hang on....
Where did the life of the dirt man and the rib woman come from?
From God?
Where did the life of God come from?

Its a mystery isnt it?
So lets believe a Bronze age myth and that will answer it...
Question Author
God IS. He is beyond time and space and is spirit.
He is omniscient, omnipresent, omnipowerful.
What we know of Him is what he allows us to know by revelation.
Atheists believe nothing created something from nothing. Don't need lessons on logic from that position.
Nailit: Was Christ around in the Bronze Age?
drorgans. Yes.
Paign... you're playing with words. Neither of us knows what it's all about, but one of us thinks that they do know. And it's not me.
If your god is omniscient, why couldn't he find Adam and Abel?
Question Author
21:04 :- of course He could!
Question Author
Paigntomian - is that an order? What do you want to know?
