After my week of frantic decorating we are having new carpets laid today on top floor, stairs to first floor, landing and stairs downstairs. No idea how long or quick it will take them. What about you lot?? Xx

There's still a hard frost here and the paths are slippy after Wednesdays snow so not venturing outside , was going to walk up to the farm and though the cinder path with Lola but it's bad for walking , not sure what else, maybe a bit of ironing

Well, we'll walk the dog, then do some housework and ironing. That'll be it, apart from spending 2 hours deciding what takeaway to have tonight. Maybe watch some more Waking the Dead.

My highlight is taking delivery of a GTech Air Ram vacuum being delivered between 1118 and 1218! I only ordered it yesterday.

Spoke to teen smow yesterday(yes I know he’s 21 now but you’ve always known him as that lol). Even he sounded really down. He’s doing long long shifts and then just going and sitting in his flat - he doesn’t even have a garden. He can’t go to gym as he would usually do, can’t go and meet his friends, thank god he is at least sharing this flat with his best friend of 10 years. I dread to think how people with depression are coping xx

We are doing similar you you Smowball, Hall, Stairs and Landing being recarpeted in the next week or so. Started decorating but it will take a long time these days so getting done what needs to be done before carpets arrive and the rest will be sorted afterwards.

Just had the dry cleaning man knock the door .

He hasn't had any custom from us now for donkeys .

I shouldn't think he is having much custom given that a lot of folk are not going out as much , wearing apparel that needs dry cleaning

Started decorating here but was too much with the arthritis pain.
Interested to see that we can get someone in to do jobs. I will do that.
Otherwise here today, oh will walk dog, I will potter with small chores, our takeaway is chosen and then (hangs head in shame) we’ll watch The Masked Singer...seem to have become addicted. Always had the moral high ground when friends watched I’m a Celebrity and now I’ve caved in (joking!)

My recycling box (for newspapers, etc.) was broken last Tuesday. The "operative" ran over the lid with his wheelie bin and smashed it. I got online immediately to order a new one. I was dismayed to receive a letter (yes, a letter, through the post) today telling me my request would be "considered" on 28th January. Such a shame. I was looking forward to receiving my new bin by now so that I could brighten up my day by putting it where the old one sat and attaching the lid. I could then spend a bit of time trawling through my council's website trying to find out how to dispose of my old one.

Never mind. There's always the Council Tax bill to look forward to in a month or two. I wonder how much it is going up by. Hopefully I should have my new bin by then to chuck in into.

I'll mostly be doing nothing. Apart from some washing I'm re-watching The Bay so I can start watching the new series. Other than that it'll be YouTube reaction videos and Township. Probably be on here a bit too!
