I sincerely miss the days of Waldo, Jake The Peg, Clanad and other posters from that era.
I hugely respected them, and their challenging views.

I miss those days too. There were some great brains about! Chakka35, Lazygun, Jomifli - and although Birdie still posts occasionally it’s rarely in R&S these days. The section is poorer for it.

Yes Wizard disappeared, with the words, '' I'll be back!''
And vigorously rubbing his wand, with magic shooting out of the end, he vanished.
But, he lives on :-)

Ah yes! The parties on the Ark! We once sailed to the V.S.S.C. (Vatican Sports and Social Club), where the dancing went on as late as ten o'clock! How did we find the stamina?
The pope was there, calling out the bingo numbers, and the chorus line of Vatican nuns did the Can Can.
And then the MC.
''One two, one two! A bit of order please for the artiste!''
And that was my big moment! My fifteen minutes of fame!
Oh I do miss those wild and wonderful days!
Haaaaaa! Oh such fun - and I remember wiz and his magic wand. Many is the time he got a well-deserved cyber smack in the chops!
All evidence that has emerged would suggest that AOG is dead.
I liked the guy,but some of those endless threads with Andy Hughes took a bit of swallowing.
He will be missed by many.

sorry..wrong thread.
Neveracrossword......I applaud your answer to me. It was Not serious on my part.

Best wishes.....Hans.
Thanks, Hans.
Hans: I did once attempt (when banned) to return as an alias but I was quickly rumbled, I'm not sure how; perhaps it was a combination of speaking the truth in a faultless manner.

In those days we sometimes wondered into the dark and mysterious cavernous castle to find the Mysterious Mibs!
There he was. In his pointy hat, any long flowing cloak, covered in magic symbols, stars, planets and ancient words and spells.
Under his arm he carried ancient scrolls, books and manuscripts, all part of his studies into reason and learning, and his recipes for a variety of foods including custard pies, the preferred ammunition of the Amazon herself!
Many a poor soul has been lost in these cavernous vaults, never to be seen again, but sometimes haunt the rooms and corridors of Answer bank! Woo Hooooooo!
Wizard/Wyzard was a charming chap. We had a lot in common :-)
More than people think, Nailit!!
;-)
"I hugely respected them, and their challenging views. " - not enough to take any notice though?

I learn and learn and when the facts change, I change.

I also remember, on the Ark, the pretty young China Doll.
The mini skirted libertarian who joined in the fun (hic!)
Question Author
He was the Wizard.
And magic was his trade,
His reputation what was made,
He cast his magic when everyone was down,
And walked on water to save the one who drowns,
But when the spells broke he took a fatal spill,
But he is living still,
And he always will.
It's such a long time ago (years) it doesn't matter me telling this story now. I introduced a work friend to this site. He wasn't like me and dived in straight away with his sense of humour and no sense of decorum. Anyway Wyzard posted a thread along the lines of what's the best way to kill myself. My friend jumped straight in with 'shotgun'. The powers that be considered that totally inappropriate and he was immediately suspended and never re-instated :-)
Question Author
I'm not surprised.
We all know shotguns can misfire!
What happened to Craft?
/What happened to Craft?\
and Cazza, and Lofty Lottie. The names just keep on tumbling out.
Question Author
Oh gosh! The plug is pulled! All the names come flooding out?

(Will my legacy be a memory on Answerbank? A gift to history?)
