Most people prefer not to think about the shortness of their life, reasoning: “What’s the use? There’s nothing I can do about it anyway.” But there is something you can do about it.

Goodlife believes that eventually he and those who believe as he does will reside on a perfect earth for eternity. Jesus said the meek shall inherit the earth so why Goodlife, one of the most arrogant of the religious posters on these pages, imagines he’ll be among them is anyone’s guess. But I digress from the question I intended to ask. Given the opportunity to spend eternity with Goodlife and chums, would you? It’s not something that attracts me so I’ll do my bit in the here and now and when the time comes for me to shuffle off this mortal coil, I’ll depart into oblivion. The End.
When Jean-Paul Sartre wrote 'Hell is other people ...' - I wonder if spending time with fervents like those on here gave him the idea.

Yes you know it all. Not knowing when the end will arrive allows us to reveal what is really in our heart. In fact, not knowing dignifies us, allowing us to use our free will in manifesting our loyalty to Jehovah. Although we look forward to surviving the end of this system, we serve Jehovah because we love him, not merely to get life.

Keep on the watch, therefore, because you know neither the day nor the hour.”—MATT. 25:13.
Goodlife, //we serve Jehovah because we love him, not merely to get life. //

Come on now. Be honest. Without the expectation of cheating death, there would be no purpose in serving Jehovah. He would be redundant.

Naomi this shows you don't know your Bible you've never prayed for Holy Spirit to help you so you will never know, the same with everyone, God only become real to those who believe him in the heart. You can have many things in your brain. JEREMIAH 24:7.

Why would an omnipresent, omniscient, all-powerful god be bothered what humankind thinks? If there is a god, "he" (does god have a gender?) will continue with "his" plan whether humankind mocks "him" or not. Suggesting otherwise would make "him" rather petty.
Ok god, you are are worthless piece of imagined garbage.
Take action and strike me dead, clocks ticking.

Utter bo11ocks. My dads name was Harry.
Goodlife, //God only become real to those who believe him in the heart//

It's in your head, Goodlife ... not your heart.
Blimey, naomi. We agree...
Now you can see why I always got the dogs out for the JW's at the door.

Soon stopped knocking with their rubbish.

That's why you can see someone serving God and someone who is not by his heart, what is in the heart it comes out of the mouth (Luke 6:45)
Your Religion gives false information and frightens folk into beliefs which prove to be untrue.

If you wish to disclaim my statement, please tell me how many times your organisation has forecast the end of the world which never came upon the dates forecast.

Hans.

There has never been given a date for the end of the world. Why? simply because the Bible tells us that NO ONE knows the day or the hour. (Mat. 25:13)
So please don't come quoting "so called" dates, because they were only men supposing or guessing dates. The WB&T has never given definate dates!
They were only 'men guessing dates', but if what they said it in the bible, you'd be quoting it here chapter and verse.

The only difference - a couple of thousand years.
Goodlife, are you just suggesting the world may end at "some point"?
I think it was Manuel from Barcelona who said 'eveshwallee'.

He learn eet from a booook.
Fantasy creations don't tend to need to tolerate anything for any length of time. But you could try contacting the original authors of the tales. I understand all you need is a board with letters on, and a glass.

Pixie ( are you just suggesting the world may end at "some point"?)

No, the world will end but we don't know when but it will happen.
