The bible is true.
Atheists, or rather Hatetheists, refuse to recognise thedd signs of the times, which are comprehensively described in the bible, which is accurate.
Stubbornness prevents the Hatetheists from recognising the truth.
Covid is but one aspect, but is like the first domino to fall, the rest will crash soon.
You can check what the bible says yourself, and compare it to contemporary events.
Time is getting short, things will never be the same again.
Will you take notice?

Theland.....I think your latest untruth was ......"No diversionary tactics from me".

Hans.
Does anyone agree that the length of this thread
PROVES einsteins theory on time dilation?

(you only have to see it once to say that it occurs)
Theland, I'm sure you don't really need to ask.

I am literally being called a liar!
Theland, you awarded Poorclare Best Answer, but did you ever answer her question?
the land
calm yourself
someone on AB has called you a damned liar - a big "so what?"

we have already had - no evangelist met Jesus - not so much a lie as an ignorant misconception

oh and I think the set of evangelists numbered four and closed AD 100 - any others are evangelicals/fundamentalists
hmm st john lived to around 100 innit?
// Theland, you awarded Poorclare Best Answer, but did you ever answer her question?//
yikes short memory

yes I did - Mt 24 - supplied by your good self actually and the Book of said Revelations
AND a commentary ( what did it mean then and what might it mean now)

and for there are false prophets ( a very common theme in mystical lit) - see Acts 16 - 16

What is a "spirit of divination" (Acts 16:16)?
πνευμα πυθωνος (pneuma Pythonos), the original Greek words translated "a spirit of divination," literally means "a spirit of Python."

What is a spirit of Python?
In Greek paganism, Python was said to be a serpent that lives in Delphi in what is southern Greece today and that was said to have the power of divination. "A spirit of Python" is likely to have been what the locals called the demon in this slave girl.

and it all ends in tears - the locals want to sell the girls seeing abilities. She goes around saying Paul is the bees knees. Perhaps not what Paul wanted - so he casts out the devil in her. She goes mute and the party planners lose their investment

honestly someone asked
and no I dont regard the gift of tongues as sent by God at all
( even if it IS in the bible somewhere)
Theland.....I consider you tell untruths so that, in blunt words means, a liar.

Do you now wish me to elaborate on my posting at 14.51 yesterday, which has taken you to respond, minutes short of 24hrs.

In fact I am very surprised that you have returned to prove the impossible that you are the Saintly person you pretend to be.

Hans.
PP, //no evangelist met Jesus - not so much a lie as an ignorant misconception//

Research desperately needed there because any ignorant misconception is yours. Yes, I know the Roman Catholic church to which you cleave, along with the Eastern Orthodox church, promotes that which is in its best interests but the fact is the authors of the gospels are unknown. I expect you also believe that, among other ‘holy’ relics, the true cross was discovered several hundred years after the event and that Jesus was crucified just a few yards from his burial chamber. Oh how the faithful weep! It’s sad to see… really it is.
PP, 14:42 Fri, perhaps a lie down would help you.
Question Author
I do not intentionally or knowingly tell lies.
I may, like all people, make mistakes, but I am not a liar.
My parents brought me up with the warning, ''you maybe sometimes be able to trust a thief, but you can never trust a liar.''
Such was the importance of truth, drilled into me from an early age.
Have I ever told lies? Sadly, yes, many times over my lifetime. No excuses, but I have done.
In my defence I say, '' who hasn't?''
Not my proudest moment.
So how do I square this circle?
All I can say, is that if ever I was tempted to lie, my conscience would forbid it.
Have I lied on AB?
Not deliberately or knowingly.
I would not lie to support my position in one of our discussions.
Mistakes? Yes! Lies? No!
I am not a liar.
The bible is true.

Well that is a lie for starters.
Theland.......Full marks to you for endeavoring to defend your position which is now becoming something of a lost cause.

In your latest lengthy posting you have said :-

/"All I can say, is that if ever I was tempted to lie, my conscience would forbid it."/

My reply is .....If your conscience forbids you to be untruthful why do you ignore it.

Then you ask a question :-

/"Have I lied on AB? /

My short answer cannot be anything but .....Yes.

Hans.

Then I cannot be trusted.
That really saddens me.
To be fair to Theland, my understanding of lying is that you know what you are saying to be untrue.

If you asked a Flat Earther if the earth is flat, they would say that it is.

The fact that it is not true does not make them a liar, because they believe what they say to be the truth.
Question Author
Thank you.
Theland... If, as I do, you accept that A-H has now illustrated what is a lie, then I am truly upset about your being unable to realise that you are regularly telling 'porkies' in Answerbank.

Hans.
Question Author
If I claimed a particular reference, that did not exist, or deliberately misquoted it, that is a lie.
I have never done that.
Theland might be construed as many things...a dodger of hard questions, misled, etc. But he is not a liar.
He honestly believes what he says (or tries to) but a liar he is not,
Self deceptive yes, but that doesnt make one a liar
