I thought that Atheism is just like any other faith; and now I see even they have many denominations.

I wasn't aware atheism was a faith.
Six or seven depending o who you read.
It isn't a faith, just the opposite:-

In this mixed up, muddled up shook up world anything can have as few or as many variations as required.

There are no absolutes any more and anyone who says otherwise is an ist of some kind and will be sent for re-education.
atheism is not a faith and there is only one kind.
Where did you see that, idiosyncrasy?
To say that atheism is a faith is like saying that baldness is a hair colour.
It's a lack of faith. No other rules or commonality.
AFAIC only two types - those that proselytise and those that don't.
atheism a house with many rooms
is it? -
Depends on what you mean by faith. If you think you have faith to believe that what you can't find evidence for definitely doesn't exist, then it's a faith.
Atheism isn’t a ‘lack of faith’ - it’s absence of belief which is something quite different. Put it this way. My belief in Jehovah/Yahweh/Allah, or whatever his followers want to call that particular god, compares to your belief in Zeus or Odin or Osiris. It’s non-existent. I know it’s difficult for the religious to comprehend life without faith, but if they think of it that way they can’t fail to understand it. Furthermore, atheism is not a ‘faith’ - for atheists, there’s nothing supernatural to have faith in - and there are no variations because absence of belief is just what it is. No belief in supernatural gods. That’s it. It’s not complicated.
Khandro, that's six years old - and a load of nonsense to boot.
Anyway, Idio seems to be enjoying a wind-up; didn't answer when asked where he got his 'info' from.
naomi: Does the information contained in 6 year old articles become somehow inaccurate?
Mmm. Interesting concept that a 6 year old article can’t be used in a discussion about a thousands of years old subject.
Z M: Particularly when it answers the OP, viz. atheists who say they don't believe in God and atheists who say there is no God.
Atheist just means "without God". So there is no difference really, khandro. As far as I'm concerned, there is no god/s. But would obviously change my mind if it was ever proven.
There's nothing to stop it being discussed .... but I'm not sure it still exists. Does it, Khandro?
