Before answering, ask yourself this, ‘Is there any evidence that universal atheism would lead to a better world?

a lot of the world is going no faith, or you find people saying thye have lapsed from there faith, in other words they dont give a hoot anymore.
i think if religion never existed to a certain extent, man would be living on other planets by now.
Is there any evidence that it wouldn't ?
If it comes to that, is there any evidence that any religious belief is justified, let alone your favourite ?
Any evidence there is an eye of God ?
We've had thousands of years of religious strife,
Gotta give atheism a go at some point...
(Sorry forgot, you meant your own religion is perfect and loving and stuff) not any of the others...just yours!

*Waits for the usual Stalin, Hitler, Communist carp*
Well I understand all the individual words but the sense escapes me
//‘Is there any evidence that universal atheism would lead to a better world? //

'Evidence', no, because it's never happened, but should it ever come to pass I suspect the Middle East would be a rather more peaceful area of the planet.

Rejection of God’s authority can be traced back to the first human pair. wanting “to be like God, knowing good and bad.” That implication was that they wanted to be their own boss’ and create their own moral law in this denial of God’s authority.—Genesis 3:5, 6.

Today Atheism. “They . . . prefer to live in freedom.” The Bible’s moral code is renounced as impractical, unrealistic. The thinking of many is much like that of the Egyptian Pharaoh who defiantly declared: “Who is Jehovah, so that I should obey his voice . . . ? I do not know Jehovah at all.” He rejected Jehovah’s authority.—Exodus 5:2. You can read what happened there.
And there more to come.

First human pair, total botox.
No more please of this bible rubbish. Fairy tales are just ridiculous.

If there was universal atheism the world would not have had 2,000 years of various groups of believers in a variety of religions (and offshoots of religions) trying to force their beliefs onto other groups....generally using violence and murdering increasing numbers of people. Perhaps without religion the world would be a pleasanter place to be part of.
Any denial of a God or of God's authority is a choice - something everyone has.

Would Worldwide atheism bring a more peaceful planet?

In part it may do but mankind will always find something to fight about.
Just one less reason to murder others perhaps mamyalynn .... maybe.
In part it may do...

Perhaps.

MallyJ (Perhaps without religion the world would be a pleasanter place to be part of.)

True if the first pair didn't rebel.

The most shocking denial of God’s authority comes from Christendom’s clergy who have denied God by turning their backs on his moral standards.
Goodlife. Adam and Eve were not the first humans. If you believe they were it says a lot about the other rubbish you spout from a silly book known as the bible.

Atheism would lead to a better world?’ Consider: As many as 1.5 million Cambodians died in the Khmer Rouge effort to establish a godless Marxist state.

SparklyKid Then go to your silly place then, not here.
Here's a question: Why do people like Goodlife insist onpushing their beliefs on people who have expressed repeatedly that they do not share them?

I have no problem with people believing in whatever deity they want, but don't try and push your crap on me.
I have no silly place. I leave that to those that believe in fairy stories.
