It is painful to watch a loved one suffer and die. We naturally grieve such a loss.

It is comforting to know, however, that our Creator, understands our grief. More than that, he longs to use his almighty power to restore life to the dead. Notice the hope conveyed in the words of Job, recorded at Job 14:14-15,says
If a man dies, can he live again?
I will wait all the days of my compulsory service
Until my relief comes.
15 You will call, and I will answer you.
You will long for the work of your hands.

I will, Andy.... but I firmly suspect nobody at all will post to support this, as they can't supply any reason for it.
Just imagine: "Not today thanks"
If you say so, daisy. It doesn't mean you are right either. Why not tell us?
Daisy; just because you don't agree with Pixie doesn't give you the right to call her a pretentious prig. Are you a pretentious prig because you have a different view?
She is indeed a pretentious prig daisy. Totally agree with you.
Margie, you couldn't answer my question... don't take it personally. I knew you wouldn't be able to.
Thanks, atheist x
Come on, daisy, prove me wrong....
I never respond to the cries of 'Prove it' on these threads, it only leads to squabbles as evidenced above.

You can hold your beliefs dear and close to you, you don't need to provide proof for others (or call them names).
Thank you.... name calling just means you have nothing sensible to say x
Aetheist I'll say what I want, mind your own business.

God told Adam in the day you eat from [the tree] "you will certainly die.” (Genesis 2:17) That command would have made no sense if Adam was meant to grow old and die anyway. Adam knew that if he did not eat from the tree, he would not die.

So because of their deliberate disobedience, Adam and Eve lost their perfection and the prospect of living forever. They underwent a physical change; they became imperfect and sinful. But their sin of disobedience did not affect them alone. They passed on their sinful condition to their offspring. Romans 5:12 says: “Through one man [Adam] sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned.
Unutterable guff.
It spread because Adam and Eve sinned?
daisypotter - // You pretentious prig pixie, just because YOU (and any other abers, according to you) don't believe in life after death doesn't mean you are right! Pretentious indeed. //

There is nothing 'pretentious' or indeed 'priggish' about pixie's post.

You are welcome to disagree, you are not welcome to be rude to someone who holds a different view to yours.

You know there are thousands of millions of pople living on earth today. Millions of these are now learning of the wonderful opportunity of keeping on living upon it without ever dying off it. Many of these may remember the old religious song, “O you must be a lover of the Lord, or you won’t go to heaven when you die.” But there are live millions of lovers of the Sovereign Lord, Jehovah God, who do not want to go to heaven at all. Their God-given hope is for the restoration of Paradise to this earth and the extending of it to embrace all the globe.

There is where they want to live for all time, in human perfection, under a righteous heavenly government. (Luke 23:43) They have in mind the remarkable words of Jesus Christ, addressed to Martha, whose brother Lazarus he was about to raise from the dead. These are words worthy of the serious consideration of everyone living today. Here they are:
2 “And everyone that is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all.”—John 11:26.

Please see my previous post - which applies to you as well.

Rudeness is hardly likely to encourage debate, or convince anyone that you have anything valid to contribute.
Thank you, Andy too x

Posting is free, subject to Site Rules, why don't you dial down the aggression, the thread will last longer.
Goodlife, in what way does that show that humans can come back from the dead?
goodlife - // “And everyone that is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all.”—John 11:26. //

That's Cliff Richard clear to make records for a few more millennia then!
