What does the law state ?
No
You say you have answers that satisfy you. Why then do other opinions matter so much?
Question Author
Well thank you so far, especially for brevity.
Others opinions are important in the interests of polite conversation.
Not sure... what does that really mean please?
Question Author
It means everything and everybody you experience has a prior cause.
Apples, apple trees, Apple seeds, Apple trees, apples etc etc.
Pixie, Pixies parents, grandparents, great grandparents etc etc.
Thanks :-). I think we have been through this before, though... and mostly people think there is a cause. Except from you, who thinks that God just always existed without a cause? X
Question Author
There has to be a first cause, otherwise we are faced with infinite regression.
But not a first cause for a God?
Question Author
God has his own cause for existence beyond and outside of things created.
But theland, most people seem to accept there is a cause already. You are the only person on here, that claims something already existed without a cause. So, I don't understand why you are trying to persuade other people of something that they already believe, but you don't?
(A)\\ There has to be a first cause, otherwise we are faced with infinite regression.//
(B)\\ God has his own cause for existence beyond and outside of things created.//
A cancels B.
Question Author
God simply is.
His own name for Himself is,"I am."
Neither past of future but eternal presence.
That is totally unreasonable, theland.
Anyone could equally claim that the universe 'simply is'. What is your evidence that God has always just... existed?
One of my favourites quotes is...

The only Universal constant is change

I think it's one of Alberts.
What you're basically saying is God created everything but nothing created God. I presume your God created logic, unfortunately you don't apply it.
Question Author
Pixie - Are you simply saying you don't know?
Or do you have your own opinion?
Question Author
Vulcan - Then I must bow to your wisdom that is greater than any God.
Yes theland, I have my own opinion, which is- I don't know. Nothing has persuaded me enough in any way to "know". Nobody knows anyway..... if they did, they would have the proof enough to convince everyone else.
I'm not claiming to know... which you are, so it is fair to ask you questions, isn't it?
