Are you worried about the state of the world?
Directing this to those who dont have a religious faith to hold on to.
Did you imagine 10 years ago things would turn out like this.
We have Trump, Brexit, Islamic terrorism, climate change, Amazon rain forest on fire, Greenland ice cap melting, oceans clogged with plastic, widespread extinction of animal species
Wasn't humanity supposed to be getting better?
I believe we are very close to return of Jesus
I guess that's an opinion you take take or leave, but seriously Are you worried?

There is no god. With its own help the human race will become extinct. End of story.
no
You are too late. Peter Griffin has already met him and persuaded him to leave it a while yet.
//We have Trump, Brexit, Islamic terrorism, climate change, Amazon rain forest on fire, Greenland ice cap melting, oceans clogged with plastic, widespread extinction of animal species //

H
Hang on...for some reason it submited while still typing!!!
..We have Trump, Brexit, Isla .....logged with plastic//

and dont forget, false prophets
whoch you cant tell from the real thing
Yes of course I'm very worried about it, who wouldn't be?
I am worried about the state of the world, not because I'm an atheist, but because it is in such a state.
//We have Trump, Brexit, Islamic terrorism, climate change, Amazon rain forest on fire, Greenland ice cap melting, oceans clogged with plastic, widespread extinction of animal species//

How does the above equate to
//I believe we are very close to return of Jesus//??
Is all of the above predicted in the Bible or something?

If so, please show me specific chapter and verse and I will consider it.
After many years of reading the Bible, I have yet to find a prophecy about climate change, the discovery of America (let alone Trump),
plastics, melting ice caps (or indeed the idea of ice caps themselves), Islam, animal extinction or forest fires, or anything else!
What has being an atheist got to do with being worried about the things that are wrong with the world? Wouldn't anybody be worried, whether they are atheist or not? The question doesn't make sense.
Humanity's destructive nature will only ever lead to a catastrophic conclusion. When someone highlights a cause, there are always people there denying it and shouting them down. We're in an age of dissent and I don't see it improving anytime soon.

Having said that, I think there is more chance of Theland converting to Islam than the second coming of Christ happening.
What The Funicular has all this got to do with Jesus???
Irresponsible belief in invisible caretakers in the sky and beyond the grave got us here. Only reason will get us out.
Nope not worried.....what will be will be.....don't believe in any religion....as someone once said it is the opium of the people.
....hang on.....isn't Islam a religion? Then if I believed in that "imaginary friend", would I not be as confident as any "theist" that "MY* God will sort it. In which case, YOU have as much to worry about as any athiest. There are so many religions, only one can be right "allegedly"......
....or the return of "allah" or "buddha" or "jehova" or"Tinkerbell" or "santa clause".....
I would dearly love to invent an eco/animal-friendly substitute for plastic; I like Trump and Brexit; there is no answer to Islamic terrorism that would be acceptable to the western world – and short of abandoning our modern lifestyle there is no solution to the element of global warming that is man-made. I therefore see no point in actually ‘worrying’ about things that neither we - nor Jesus - can change.

Just as a by the bye, if Jesus could change it – him being God and all that – do you never wonder why he hasn’t don’t it?
Fivellaves, or should it be Fivellaves ?
You are on the right track.
There are many world class lecturers on YouTube if you vary to watch and listen to them completely free"
Try them and be patient and report back. XXX
I’m worried about the world, but not about whether Jesus will come back. What could he do anyway?
I meant Five loaves. Sorry.
