Anyone got any 'intuition' stories?

A while ago, a friend of mine was painting the outside of his house when he got a strong feeling to go back inside (for no discernible reason). The minute he did, a chunk of guttering fell down right where he had been painting and would have killed him if he had stayed outside.
I see no reason to invoke a supernatural cause for this (the subconscious is good at picking up things)
Would like to hear of any 'intuition' stories from fellow ABers.
Thanks.

I've a hunch there's no reason to ignore one either.
Unsure that I can recall any intuition experiences.
I just knew I shouldn't have clicked on this item but chose to ignore the feeling and here we are again.
My mother was on the hospice ward of a hospital for many months, suffering from terminal cancer. One evening I got a call from a friend, whom I'd not seen for several months. She said that she knew my mother had been ill and had suddenly felt an overwhelming urge to phone me, to see how I was coping.

I found out later that evening (when my father called me) that she'd experienced that 'overwhelming urge' at the very moment that my mother had passed away.
Something similar happened to me, Chris. We were all outside playing in the garden when I got this overwhelming sense of doom come over me. My aunt was killed in a crash about that time.
A few years ago now, but I always rang my Mum on a Sunday, but this particular day, which was a Saturday, I had the urge to ring her. She and an Auntie were house sitting a relative's house at the time. My Auntie answered the phone and said Mum was watering tomato plants in greenhouse. So she went out to garden to fetch her. When she found her, Mum was lodged between flimsy glass of side of greenhouse and a wall. She was so.glad to see Auntie, as she felt any minute she would fall through glass because of pressure being stuck and pressing against thin glass. My Auntie pulled her out, much to Mum's relief! I've often wondered, had I not have rang at that particular time, there might have been an awful accident.
I don't normally do the lottery. However one time I got a strong feeling that I should buy a ticket so I did.

I didn't even get one number right.
A couple of times I've been stood on the platform at Darlington station and a little voice in the back of my head has said "Don't get on the Train."

First time: Train cancelled/Taxi to Darlington/Train cancelled - stood all the way to Kings Cross/delayed at Kings Cross due to brake issue with the Train, and then my connecting Train was delayed by 20 minutes outside Woking.

Second time: I got stranded in Somerset, when the massive storm hit the South of England in 2013, so I got home on the Tuesday, rather than the Monday as planned.
I rang someone out of the blue because I had suddenly thought about him and wanted to know how he was.

He had just taken an overdose of paracetamol.
I woke one morning thinking of my best friend from childhood. I hadn’t seen or spoken to her for years but the feeling was so strong I just couldn’t get her out of my mind and so I decided to seek her out. My first port of call was Friends Reunited and lo and behold, there she was. I dropped her a short email saying simply ‘I woke up this morning thinking of you. Love Naomi’. Almost immediately a reply arrived. She could hardly believe I’d found her – she was absolutely delighted. She told me all about her life and urged me to respond, which I did. Result? Nothing. I wrote again. Still nothing. And again. Nothing. A year later I received an email from a member of her family who, having checked her computer and found my messages, said that shortly after responding to my initial email, my friend had died very suddenly. Coincidence? I don’t know – but I’m very pleased I acted on my instinct.
My father had been in intensive care following a ruptured aneurysm. I was due to visit him as I had each evening but, for some reason, I drove to the hospital at 7.00 a.m. the next day. He passed away shortly after I arrived.
The other day, I was thinking of a friend who had moved to a different part of the country and I was about to contact him when I received a text and yes it was from the same friend.
I must be intuition blind.....
I believe intuition is another human sense more developed in some than others.
I think we all have it, but can't prove it.
Theland. Can you define Intuition?
readers should read - C G Jung's Synchronicity
which is all about this 'intuition' - same thing different name

(if you think you have heard it before ( hahaha pun intended!) you have. The Beatles mahesh yogi used to rap about synchronicity
( Troot has synchroniciteeeeh) - but he was wrong
Troot, justice malice have no time element, necessary for synchronicity because they are metaphysical quantities.
but what the hell - the Beatles liked him
Atheist - I can't generalise, only give my personal experience which others may not share having their own experience.
My experience is hard to put into words, but best described as an overwhelming feeling and, "knowing," and submitting to it usually proves correct.
Intuition is sometimes valid, but often just known as coincidence.
....... in your experience.
When my dad was struggling, as my post above, 'something' told me to ring him. Ordinarily, I would never ring him on Saturday evening but 'something' made me ring him on that particular night. It was the start of a very long journey.
Not experience, so much, theland. Psychology. My sister and I recently visited a client in hospital, we were not due until the following morning, but we both suddenly felt we had to see him at 7pm the evening before. He died at 7:15 while were there.
There are many possible explanations... he waited, or we just subconsciously knew he would not last until morning... but whatever, we went and are very thankful we did. It was partly intuition, but only because of sub consciousness and no doubt, partly coincidence. It would be stranger if coincidence never happened...
But intuition is just a mixture of other senses, that you are not necessarily aware of.
