Weve had our spats on here and biblical apologetics has been done to death.

But Im genuinely interested...
When you read the Old Testament, what does your conscience say?
When you read of God ordering killings, war and genocide, when you read of injust laws been implemented and God ordering the execution of rebellious teenagers or women that don't bleed on their wedding night or rape victims having to marry their rapist so that they can be *kept* for the rest of their lives (by their rapist)
Doesn't that repel you in any way?

Just trying to understand the mind of a literalist bible believer.

^Maybe he means hours of watching the people he listens to on YouTube to find out what he ought to say.
Naomi - Insults are the mainstay of your position.
Inspired by pride maybe to boost your ego?
No problem.
I can cope with that.
So your problem.
You seem to have an obsession with what you perceive to be my ego, Theland. You've mentioned it twice within a few minutes on two separate threads. Clearly not my problem.
The truth and accuracy seem to be less important than tripping me up, and giving yourselves a slap on the back.
No problem.
God has dealt with greater things.

Theland, what does your conscience say when reading about God's barbarities and atrocities in the Old Testament?
Theland, I'm surprised that to rise to the bait, you know you're going to be slated no matter what you say.
Theland, you trip yourself up. You talk about ‘truth’ but I suspect your refusal to answer Nailit’s very simple but relevant question emanates from your refusal to acknowledge the truth.

//Theland, I'm surprised that to rise to the bait//
Same could be said about atheists rising to Theland's 'bait'
If I denied truth, I would be not better than the misleading charlatans I condemn.

Please credit me with some integrity.
"Trip Up Theland," should not be the prime motivator for your posts.

A serious exchange of opinions would be nice.
Theland, credit is earned.
What is your answer to NAILIT's question?
Theland, //A serious exchange of opinions would be nice. //

It would indeed. What's your opinion on Nailit's question?
THECORBYLOON, now who are you talking to? This is becoming confusing.

What about denying your conscience though when reading about Bible God's atrocities? How do you square that?
Apologies, we posted at the same time and my question was to THELAND.
Naomi - How dare you question my integrity.

That is on the wrong side of good manners.

I am surprised at you.

Don't think he's ^^ going to answer as per...

Just my point nailit - there is never going to be agreement on the subject of religion on this site so why do you (and Theland) persist in raising the topic?
Here we go. tit for tat.
You happy to live in ignorance?
No God? No explanation for the origin of the universe

So if you are content with that, Why I ask me?

In your mind you already know the answer!
