But that is only one aspect of their approach - an unfortunate one, but one common to all of them.
It's unreasonable to single out Islam when you have the world's Catholics run by one of the most repressive misogynistic regimes ever conceived under heaven.

Judderman - // Yes Andy hughs, but do catholics stone people?? Behead people?? Throw gays from the tallest building?? //
I addressed the point being made - which was the attitudes of one faith, the inference being that its appalling approach is unique, and the point I made is that it is not.
You appear to exist in a permanent state of angst about Islam, judging by the intensity and frequency of your posts about it.
I suggest maybe you should turn your mind to something else for a while - such endless fretting and lambasting can't be doing you any good at all.

To confirm Talbot's point.
I'm not sure where it fits with the Islam discussion but thanks for the heads up

I have to say, the point if my original post was why those in authority, AB included, suppress people's opinions if they show Islam for what it is.
I asked that because a post of mine giving my opinion of Islam was deleted. Since then there has been worse..... MUCH worse said on this thread. Yet still it's going. It just shows the double standards...... I assume admin has it's favourites and a lot of you have got involved...... so the thread stays!!!

I cannot comment directly, because I didn't see your deleted thread, but it has been advised to you already that the reason is more than likely because your posting contravened Site Rules, in other words, it was deleted for the way your view was expressed, and not the view itself.
All threads are monitored and moderated in the same way, by the same people.
If you feel your thread, or you personally, was unfairly treated, I suggest you contact the Editor for a discussion - railing about it on here is not going to get you anywhere, except possibly this thread deleted as well, because it is going off-topic.

Spath, sorry I'm late replying to your post at 10.56. I'm sure you would shrug it off if it happened just the once, but I'm talking about every day, more than once a day. I know white people who've been racially abused by "Asians" on a daily basis, reported the abuse, and had no response. Not even logged, never mind acted upon. People who don't know the reality, think that integration/multi-culturalism is wonderful.
Don't they?
Don't they?
I will say goodnight on this cheery note...things are going to get worse before they get better.

From Talbot: //Islam is homophobic//
From andy-hughes, //so is almost every major religion in the world, because they are run and controlled by men. //
Just one snag with that, andy-hughes. Islam isn't simply a religion - it's a complete and incontrovertible blueprint of the rules for life. That's why Islamic law requires two women witnesses to every one male witness, why accusations of rape by women require four male witnesses to support those accusations, and why women seeking divorce encounter far more obstacles than men. It never ceases to amaze me that allegedly intelligent people, especially those who claim to champion the rights of women, not only find all of this (and presumably more – FGM, forced marriage of little girls to grown men anyone?) acceptable, but make stringent efforts to defend what any civilized human being would, and should, consider to be the indefensible. Call me old fashioned if you like, but in my book right is right and wrong is wrong – and in all of this Islam is very wrong indeed.

TheJudderMan - “Why does the government or any one else in authority, even answerbank admin suppress anyone's opinion that shows Islam for what it is?”
Fear of violent reprisals. In a nutshell.
All publishers of content – be they mainstream or alternative media – remember the Charlie Hebdo massacre. They don't want to be the next victims of intolerant, violent extremists and – let's be honest – who can blame them? They fear that publishing and/or repeating material that the adherents of 'The Religion Of Peace' might find offensive may result in those 'peaceful' people turning murderously violent. Interesting isn't it that some of the members of the Islamic community chose to demonstrate their claims of tolerance and peacefulness by loudly, violently and sometimes murderously suppressing opposing opinions? Other, less actively violent members of Islam, often fail to decry such behaviour and tacitly approve of such actions. A recent opinion pole in Britain suggested that at least 32% of muslims approved of murder for those who insult Islam and/or The Prophet.
Take a moment to fully absorb that figure. One third. And that's just in the (largely) secular UK.
Extrapolate that number to the global Islamic population and you have six hundred million muslims that think it's acceptable to kill someone who has the audacity to criticise 'The Religion Of Peace”.

Hello Andy Hughes with an “e”. Have you actually read the Koran and Hadiths?
Your above comment appears to be an appeal for the OP to stop asking questions about Islam. Why would that be? I ask because many people claim to have read things they haven't actually read. They read a synopsis and then claim to have read the actual book. For instance, in a study done in 2009, 42% of people questioned said they had falsely claimed to have read George Orwell's '1984' (https://goo.gl/VDRsTH)
So have you actually read them Andy? Or are you – as I suspect – operating from a position of blind ignorance and wishful thinking resulting in an idealogical defence of that which you know very little about but feel morally obligated to champion?
