Since man was allegedly made in the image of the Creator, it is reasonable to assume that God possesses a penis. However, since Jewish men are circumcised as a symbol of the covenant between God and Abraham, and there is no mention in the bible of that working both ways, it is also fair to assume that God’s penis remains intact. Interestingly, several...

If you mean my link, that's all it is as Naomi asked for one - not my opinion.
Patsy, I’ve had a bit of a google and can find nothing outside religious websites that carries the information you gave. I did, however, find you’d quoted verbatim from articles that mention Dr S I McMillen, a Creationist, and author of a book entitled “None of These Diseases: The Bible's Health Secrets for the 21st Century”. Clearly a man on a mission (so to speak).

According to other articles written from the point of view of science, the haemostatic system is not fully mature until a child is 3 to 6 months of age. Additionally, “Classical vitamin K deficiency [which results in susceptibility to bleeding] occurs between 24 hours and 7 days of life and is associated with delayed or insufficient feeding”. That leads me to suspect that the ancients learnt from sad experience. Babies younger than 8 days were more likely to die as a result of excessive bleeding. Similarly, God’s dietary laws result from experience. No doubt the Hebrews were well aware that a hot climate and pork do not go well together.

Religious apologists go to great efforts to demonstrate that the facts fit the fiction, but in my experience a little research coupled with a bit of common sense helps. When extraordinary claims like this are made – viz “Science proves that God was right” - one thing to bear in mind is that if they had any foundation in reality, they would have made headlines worldwide. This one, like the rest, didn’t.

Thanks again for the link, Mamyalynne. This claim was one I’d never heard of.

Hi Naomi, no I couldn't find anything outside religious sites either. Just found it interesting reading ( from same link Mamyalynne put up) Especially when on eighth day prothrombin is at its highest making the clotting of blood at its best, so to speak. There was a Holt & McIntosh (paediatricians)similar piece cited too. Interesting reasoning of yours Naomi. Common sense about warm weather and pork not mixing!
Thanks Patsy.
Re: pork, I'm sure I remember being told that it was health advice, dressed up as a religious diktat, because pigs were commonly riddled with tapeworms in those days. No reason for it these days.
