This is the reply I got on youtube when I replied sceptically to a statement that islam was not sexist...
/Are you serious? Is that what you understood from this video, wow, this video is so straight forward, it takes skills to misunderstand it. ISLAM is not based on sexism, sexism has nothing to do with ISLAM sexism has nothing to do with a religion, its just part of human nature. Doesn’t matter what religion you believe in if you are human then sex is part of your nature. You can have as much sex as you want as long as its with your wife, otherwise it is adultery and that is against ISLAM just like it is against all religions (including Christianity and Judaism). What he means is when a man looks at a women, sexual thoughts will come to his mind, (especially if the women is very attractive) and that is part of a mans nature, no one can deny that, just like what he said, if a man were to say sexual thought don’t come to my mind when I look at women then he should see a doctor because something is wrong with him, he is not normal. ISLAM is a religion of peace and respect, all the girls/women I look (sexually) is somebodies mother, wife, sister, daughter so ISLAM says do not look at women who is not part of your family, relative, close one (basically anyone whom I wont look at sexually), and show respect, (this is something westerners wont understand because you guys don’t mind other men checking out your wives, daughters, sisters, etc. I live in a western country and I know so many men who show off with their wives looks, and its disgusting), so if women were to sit on my right or left then I have to turn the other side not to look at them, I will probably have neck pain after 20 min ;) its just going to cause problems for men and also for women too, who are not allowed to look at men sexually as well other than their husband, so why make men and women sit side by side and cause difficulty for both sides when you can separate both sexes so both sexes can comfortably sit and enjoy the program. Now look at it from this perspective./

Sounds rather immature to me. (and a bit of a nutter, if I'm honest)
What a plonker !
He unambiguously spells out that a woman is considered a sex object in Islam. Then claims that there is something wrong with a man who thinks otherwise. No wonder they are such screwed up people!

It is ridiculous to consider that Islam has nothing to do with sexism when such different roles are prescribed for men and women. He compares this with other Abrahamic religions to suggest that it is universal. All it shows is that blatant sexism is a foundational part of the Abrahamic cults.
I could never see what is wrong with self-control. It really doesn't matter what you feel or what your mental reactions are, so long as you control yourself.
Never mind how tempted you might feel, there was never any justification in giving way to illicit temptation. But, alas, some religionists seem to think that because they feel tempted, the sin has already been committed, so - hey - go ahead !
Islam teaches that our lives are predestined, Allah has a book with a page for every person on Earth. On that page is written that persons life down to the most minute detail. This is often used as an excuse wrong doing as they say they can't help it , it is written!.

He has - that's for sure!

Fender, he was referring to muslim women. Seems that a burkha isn't quite enough to cool a muslim male's passion. They must have incredible imaginations.

I presume the 'wife' has some say in this.
//I presume the 'wife' has some say in this.//

That isn't the general idea. A wife is a commodity.

A foolish assumption of mine really.
Incomprehensible attitude.

The King of Saudi Arabia in the 1960's (Abdulah ?) had 100 wife's and they all had to be treated equally , including all getting the same amount of nooky and getting them all 'up the duff' as often as possible! He was supposed to have fathered over 100 children!
I was tempted to say that a man fathering only 100 children from 100 wives couldn't have been keeping his end up, but this really isn't a subject for light hearted humour.
I was wrong Abdullah only had 30 wife's

Still managed to bang out over 100 bread snappers though!
^^^ only thirty? one is enough for me, thank you. Are the ones with the full burka required to wear them because Ab thinks they've turned ugly since he married them?
The Koran says quite explicitly that a woman is a man's tilth. A man is entitled to sow his seed in his wife since she is only a receptacle.
Strange that the Abrahamic religions all revolve around sex.
