Foolish are those professed Christians who would serve God and Christ and who would at the same time be friends of the world!

To try to mix the two is like trying to mix oil with water.

Why do you have so little understanding of your fellow human beings? Blinkered or what? Some of the nastiest people I have ever met profess to have a very strong religious belief ... they use it to justify their dreadful behaviour towards others. I feel sad for you.

All Scripture is inspired of God, says the Bible. (2 Timothy 3:16) Yes, God is the Bible’s Author. Does he want us to understand his Word? Or did he deliberately make the Bible unfathomable to all but a privileged few, such as clergymen and Bible scholars?
