Ebola is a rapidly growing concern for everyone.

The response from the President of Nigeria:

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has declared three days of fasting and prayer, “to seek God’s mercy”

This should surely get a lot of believers praying. Will it help? Or will God's wrath have suffer us all for our sins?

Isn't Goodluck Jonathan the president of Nigeria?
It's not god's wrath we're seeing there. Diseases like Ebola are simply caused by viruses which are part of the wide spectrum of life here on Earth.

Well there you go.

The person I quoted must be the president of somewhere or something else.

I shall investigate why the internet provided me with something so unreliable. Who would have thought?

She is the President of Liberia.
Great idea. 'Cos praying has always helped with live and death situations before...

I suppose when some people are going through horrific and terrible times, they will clutch onto anything to give them hope.

I don't think praying is a good idea, keep your head down by all means but don't attract the attention of god, we all know what happens if you do that :o)
No doubt it'll shorten the time for the lab folk to find a cure / preventative.
But to be sure they should pray for a cure in one country and pray not to find it in another, then you'd have something to compare and convince yourself.

At least it's free.
I always thought that god helps those that help themselves.

And god help you if I catch you.

God is angry with you. Get ready.
Be warned - Keyplus knows God's mind. ;o)
. . . assuming he/she/it has one. :o/
divebuddy, i second that.
Keyplus - "... God is angry with you. Get ready..."

Grow up. You sound like a frightened ignoramus, fearing "God's" wrath. It's child-like; fearing that which you don't understand. Before physics, mathematics and astronomy showed us otherwise, you'd be the kind of bloke that would tell us that thunder and lightening was God's way of showing us his displeasure. And many other gullible idiots would believe you.

Thankfully, some of us have grown up and stopped believing in such demonstrable nonsense.
