The first will demonstrate to climate change deniers that in the past man's actions have had consequences for the entire world and could again.
The second, no less important, could show to those who dismiss the bible as myth that it had answers for the problems then and could guide us now.

// Ignoring the bit about the warning and the given task, 8 people couldn't have prepared all that lumber by hand. //

I know. It's bad enough trying to put an Ikea Billy bookshelf together.
You're just not as good at woodwork as he was. ;o)

Got to wonder if the woodworm he took on board caused any problems.
Question Author
Isn't 'huntigowk' a fine word? And it's one I'd never heard before today.
Question Author
Both the woodworm and the Death Watch beetle would have been chewing away at the fabric of the very thing that saved them, the Ark. Fortunately the flood abated before too much harm was done.
Douglas, I hope you don't mind me asking, but what are you talking about?
Question Author
Naomi, I think Douglas is saying in his inimitable Scottish way that he sees through my post and thinks it an April Fools joke.
Oh really? Thank you. I'd never have guessed.
That'll cover it Sandy. Thanks for the 'best answer'. :)

Whatever floats your boat!
Sandy@ Because Noah and his family chose the way of life before the deluge burst forth,

You lot find your selves here today, more than four thousand three hundred years later. The lesson furnished by Noah and his family should not be lost on us today.

Why not? Because the Holy Scriptures predict a similar end to the ungodly world of people that has grown up and fills the earth till now.

The Bible was not written for nothing.

Are you the type of person that God would choose to do the work he wants done in the earth today? If so, it means that you must be prepared to be viewed as a fool by the world.. (1 Corinthians 3:19)

Yes these historical examples show that not only were God’s servants viewed as foolish by people of the world but the wisdom of the world was also foolishness to God.
Goodlife, just one snag with all that. God’s attempt to rid the world of the type of people he allegedly doesn’t like failed because we’re still here. Do you think you can trust him to get it right next time - or do you see yourself continuing your career as a harbinger of doom after the next flood too?
I'm not a religious person but the Trailer looks good !
Good to watch at iMax Cinemas

1 Cor 3 19 is: KJV

19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”[a]

and no it seems to have very little do with GL q
are you the person to do good in God's eyes ?

ho hum at least it got me to read a bit of the new testament
Question Author
Goodlife, I came to a reluctant conclusion long ago that I was viewed as a fool even before I ever thought of promulgating the truths that can be found in the Bible
