My husband and myself were sitting in the sunshine at the cemetery, after taking some flowers to my mum and dad's grave. We saw a group of people standing outside the crematoriam where a service had obviously just taken place, and they were freeing about 50 pink balloons, which all went up together, and went off in the wind in a steady stream over the trees and gone. We sat there for about 15 minutes, and suddenly a lone balloon came back, against the wind, over the trees, across the cemetery till it reached the area where all the people had stood to let the balloons go. It went down, dipped to the ground, and then reversed and flew back again, the way it had come over the trees and away. There was no one else around and we looked to see if we could see any of the people who had been present when the balloons were freed, but my husband and I just looked at each other dumbstruck. He said that if someone had told him what we had just seen, he would not have believed them, but he was as shocked as I was.
There is no explanation for this, the balloon came back, against the wind and went down to the exact spot from where it had been released - spooky!
I once had my nephew at my home for dinner. He left late at night and I got ready for bed. After about 15 minutes the door bell rung and I went to open the door thinking who that might be at that late time. My nephew was at the door and said that he forgot his glasses. In the morning my nephew phoned and apologised for not turning up for dinner as according to him he got stuck out of the city and could not inform me (there were no mobile phones at that time). I thought he was joking and laughed. Who was here last night then? I asked. First of all he could not understand what I was talking about. But then he really seriously said that he was telling the truth and his mother (my sister) confirmed that too as she was with him last night. “But you even came back to get your glasses”, I said. “But Uncle you know I don’t wear glasses”, he said.

Only then I realised that yes he was telling the truth. So then who was the person had dinner at my home last night? I felt bit of a chill in my spine.

I know many would not believe me as usually people do not believe until something similar happens to them and then others don’t believe them.
That is absolutely fascinating Keyplus, I onec had a conversation with someone who i later found to be in england ( I was in Ireland) at that time. I knew the person well and it was definitely them, no quesiton about it. I know it's a recorded phenomena but never met anyone else before that had happened to. Did your nephew talk and act as normal during that evening?
Keyplus, that's truly fascinating. I have the same question as Nox. Did your nephew appear to be his usual self throughout the evening?
How absolutely fascinating. It could not have been any kind of projection as he sat and ate the meal so he must have been solid. So what on earth happened I wonder.
Do really an experience, but a bizarre coincidence. I found a wallet in the street. I have never found a wallet before and when I opened it, it belonged to me. That is someone with my name, spelt the same. He even had a debit card from the same bank as me. I am 47 and I have never me anyone in person with the same name as myself.

Easy to explain as coincidence, but it felt damn creepy at the time.
Gromit, an astonishing coincidence, no doubt - but someone you know well sitting at your dinner table for an evening who turns out not to have been there, is a bit more than that, wouldn't you say?
Im sure some of you are very aware of views in this respect as total nonsense, my mind is currently in a little turmoil with regards to this spirit stuff, can you all be wrong? or am I wrong? mmm!
Oh yes, can't beat keyplus' tale.

I do have a problem in that I don't believe in the paranormal and I am acutely skeptical. What keyplus and nox are describing is impossible.
Many years ago, following a climbing accident on a high Alpine Peak, I was convinced I should be dead by morning. During the night the storm seemed to clear for a moment and I saw the lights of my home town. I felt a contentment which was intense and to our surprise we were still O.K. when morning brought an end to the blizzard, leaving me able to get down and find help for my companion, who had serious internal injuries. Probably a sign of exposure but very mystical
It would be good if we could discuss this without those who haven't experienced unexplained happenings immediately trashing the claims. Personally, I think there is something going on in this world that we simply do not understand, and I don't believe for a moment that everyone who reports such experiences is either lying or deluded.

Gromit, I don’t believe in the supernatural – and I think the word ‘paranormal’ is a misnomer.

Keyplus, another thing. Was your whole family present at the dinner?
Im starting to think that there just may be more to this world than meets the eye, I just don't know what and who to believe.
Ooo... Ratter ..... you're wavering! :o)
Naomi24

Were you abducted by aliens between Feb and September last year?
I have to be really honest, I have a vested interest in finding out more about keyplus's experience because I have a brain injury and whilst I have never known it to cause anything like this, I am aware I have one and I have always wondered if it wasn't something to do with this. However it is quite a widely documented thing so I have also toyed with the idea that it's a form of astral projection.
Gromit, actually I was. They still have me in their grasp - but they let me out on day release now. ;o)
There are more things in heaven and earth... BUt I've yet to experience any of them.
Good to have you back. We missed you.

Well done for putting AOG in his place today, he is getting worse.
Gromit, thank you very much. That really is appreciated - and he deserved it!
Keyplus -

Your anecdote sounds rather like a lucid dream. Lucid dreams seem as real as the ground under your feet. But they often have the tell-tail signs of invention – in your case, the fact that your nephew wore glasses in the scenario when in reality he doesn't (your subconscious subtlety informing you of the deception?).

Was anyone else present when you had your nephew over for dinner?
