Do the world’s injustices—including those instigated by hypocritical religionists—prove that there is no God?

Having strayed from the path of belief they try to rationalise their nihilistic notions by claiming there is no God. Sad, or what?
Are there any valid reasons for believing in some invisible deity?
You do realise that talking to an imaginary friend can be a sign of mental illness don't you?
general disillusionment really, growing up and seeing so much hypocrisy in the catholic faith
no facts
no evidence
it just feels like an elaborate bluff, a bit like being young and believing in father christmas and all the magical stuff then growing up and seeing the whole father christmas thing for what is really is.
Im not a hard core athiest but I see no reason to be religious
"Sad or what"-no,realistic! Daffy654 i like your line of thought.
No, the world injustices do not prove that there is no God.

Whether there is a God or not cannot be proven or disproven by anything at all.
Agree with Daffy and Cazzz, no valid reasons to believe.

Every reason to realise that at its best religion is a prop for people, at its worse a cause of dispute and conflict. Just as this thread will develop into a disput and conflict. I'm back to the real world where evolution is waiting for me to weed the garden on this unusually mild day.
We don't need to prove that there is no god; you need to prove that there is one. While you're at it, perhaps you can also prove that their is a tooth fairy and an easter bunny.
Do there have to be valid reasons for atheism? It's as valid as an item of 'faith' as any of the religious 'faiths'. And those whose religion depends on 'faith' cannot deny that others may also have a valid 'faith'.
Oh come on rojash, you'll be telling me next that there's no Santa Claus. What I call my belief in God is faith and nothing that has happened in my life, good or bad, will shake that faith. Not always easy to understand, but then I don't understand a lot of things, they just are!
That sounds like brainwashing, not faith.
Maggie, you should try a little harder to understand things, then perhaps the 'scales' will fall from your eyes.
I don't need to know how electricity works, what the Hadron collider is going to do or how to split the atom. I just have faith that they will work - just as I have faith in God.
Sandy you are veering towards sanctimonious pomposity again, I had hoped that you had got through this phase but I can see that more work is required.
Pomposity is sometimes the sprat to catch the mackerel.
"I don't need to know how electricity works... I just have faith"

or, as the old saying went: "put your hand in the back of the radio set and feeeel the power of the lord!"
I always say,let the person believe in what he or she wants, all I ask of a person is stop trying to shove absolute drivel down my throat.

dzug2........True, God has given us free will just as he did with Adam and Eve.
If, in response to the original question, I posted a direct YouTube link to Eddie Izzard's sketch about St Paul and the Corinthians, would I get into trouble over Site Rules?
