I get married next year and want to wear the flatest of shoes/flip flops, etc on the day. My partner and I are the same height when flat footed ... I dont want to wear heels on my wedding day as I will tower over him.

To kill two birds with one stone I was trying to find a lovely pair of diamonte type flip flops as noone will be seeing my shoes anyway, I will be comfortable all day and myself and my husband to be will be the same height!! LOL!

Anyone seen anything around??

Sorry, but i couldn't bring myself to wear flip flops on my wedding day!!

Thought about flat ballet type shoes?
Also, have you thought about when you're floating down the aisle, all is quiet everyone going "ahhhh, she looks lovely", then you hear the distinctive....flip...flop...flip.....

I'm shuddering in embarresment on your behalf, please don't do it!
My mate wore silver jellies...............
the trouble with flip flops is the sound they make....can you imagine that in church? go for tidy flatties instead and keep the flip flops for later in the day.
most flip flops arent like 80's flip flops that do actually make the sound when you walk.

although some of mine make f@rting noises
I'm with BOO on this - there are lots of other lovely flats that will be comfy and look the part. Step away from the flip-flops!
Also, have you seen this?

Flip flops -- pretty flats --- you know what I mean!
that would be good in church....f@rting feet and a pearl necklace....
Still 4get, would you want take that chance?

I love flip flops i really do, but apart from anything else, no matter how many "jewels" they might have on them, they just aren't dressy enough for a bride -imho.

I still say go with the silk type ballerina type flats, so much more delicate and pretty.

no matter what I'd have to wear flats my feet would kill otherwise. pretty ballet shoes sounds nice

Hmmm some nice website to look through and some interesting comments.

I have my eye on a nice flat pair of diamonteeeed-up pumps but just wanted to see if anyone else had any nice ideas. Believe me I will definitely ensure my feet are looking gorgeous for the dance floor but will also be comfortable and flat to ensure we dont get the Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes look!

Cheers
