Hoping someone can shed some light on this for me.I bought 2 tickets to see Eagles of death metal at Norwich UEA about 2 months ago. When I bought these it was advertised as"Featuring the enigmatic Josh Homme and the charismatic Jesse Hughes"now to me this means they both are going to be at the gig.I bought the tickets mainly to see Josh as im a big QOTSA fan.I noticed a few days ago that the advert had changed to "featuring Jesse Hughes" and wondered why. This advert now contains an apology underneath explaining that Josh won't be at the gig as he doesn't tour with EODM and "sorry if anyone was unaware and for any inconvenience caused"I have asked for a refund as I feel I was mis-sold these tickets and they were falsely advertising,if you like a product that they couldn't supply.I would totally understand if he wasnt going to be there due to illness but I just feel like I've been mislead.Do you think im entitled to a refund???
Sorry to waffle on
TIA

Is there anything on the promo posters or tickets saying something along the lines of 'artists and schedules are subject to change blah blah blah'... if so, you prob. have no comeback.
BTW... QOTSA... great band :-p
I have no idea who you're talking about, but I agree with you!

if they don't refund I'd take them to a small claims court. best of luck. if they're a reputable company/promoter, I think they'll refund, assuming you don't use the tickets.

Nope, nothing on the tickets that I can see.Feel petty but peeved also
If you don't get a refund and there's time, stick the tickets on ebay and cut your losses...

I've thought of that but the gig is this wed and i'm still waiting for the reply to my e-mail.Don't want to sell them on to someone else who's expecting what I was expecting!!!Maybe i'm too nice
This doesn't help you, but I know want to see QOTSA lol...

SO DO I and thought this would come close.Would love to see them but they don't tour much now over here. That didn't help but cheered me up ta :-)
It's a standard clause for most gig promoters that the bill can be altered or cancelled without notice - this protects them from legal action for anything other than refunds.

You need to check the small print on the tickets to see if the 'alteration / cancellation' clause is included.

I would suggest that they may offer you a refund as a goodwill gesture - even though they may not be obliged so to do under law.

Write a nice letter explaining that your main resaon for purchasning was to see JH, and he will not be present, and ask for a refund.

Good luck.

Update on tickets. The lovely lady from the box office rang me today and offered a full refund.Apparently all the promo posters etc had both josh and jesse on them and people are unaware that JH wouldn't be there. They're playing at Oxford tonight but there have been major complaints when it has been announced that no JH.Will have to spend my refund on Biffy tickets now!!
good news, well done you!

I still have no idea who you're talking about ;o)
thanks snags. I would have stood a (slightly) better chance if they were British :o)
Chilli...

'Them Crooked Vultures' are playing Nationally from December: Josh Homme (QOTSA), Dave Grohl (Foos) and John Paul Jones (Led Zep)... tickets are going fast though - and not cheap!

I'm hoping to go myself...
