Just out of interest I wanted to see who agrees with me on this topic?

Why do teenagers feel the need to play music from their mobile phones when in public places? Do they think we all want to listen to their music. I don't understand, get some headphones and shut up!

I'm actually only 23 and the first time I saw this happening and was complaining to a friend I thought what am I doing I'm turning Old and complaining about the youth of today! But it just really really annoys me!

It`s not the fact they do it that bothers me, it`s the cr@p they listen to that does my head in
R & B lol don't you just hate it. I dj and actually challenged some teenagers to explain what Sean Paul was singing about. Needless to say they couldn't .....

I don't really care what sort of music it was even if it was my favouite band, what bothers me is that they think they can do it, like we all want to hear it. It's not cool!

I've found that too...very odd. I've even seen them carrying out their day to day business with the phone still playing its tinny music.

What they want is a good old fashioned boombox.
it does my bloody head in..
and worst of all,,,when they start singing to it.
so annoying i feel like shoving the phones up there a***s.
wish i could afford a phone like that
Report them, not sure if the police would do anything, but legally, if they play music in public, they should have an entertainments license, if they don't, they are breaking the law.

They rank with the moron car drivers who have their boom boxes at full volume whilst driving. They will all be deaf by the time they are 30.
Wow, i'm so glad I've found some other people that feel the same way, I was worried i was turning into a grumpy old woman at 22! It really winds me up in fact its probably my biggest annoyance at the mo, I agree with betty3000 that its not the music that bugs me just the assumption that we want to hear it/ the could care less whether we want to hear it or not attitude but I guessif its awful music it makes it worse
