You call into your local pharmacy to collect your regular prescription medication – the pharmacist advises that they are having difficulty sourcing your medication due to Brexit.

The pharmacist notes that according to their records you voted for Brexit, and advises that in such circumstances the pharmacy has instituted a policy of prioritising medication to those who did not vote for this turd-show (Brexit) – so they advise you that they won’t be issuing you with your medication for the foreseeable future.

If you voted leave and experienced the above unavailability of your medication, would you accept this as a result of your own actions (in voting leave) – or would you complain that the referendum was a democratic vote and everyone should suffer equally?

I would certainly accept that if I had been conned by the likes of Farage, Johnson, Reece-Mogg, Gove etc (into voting leave) that I should suffer the consequences of my actions – and as a result, lack medication I needed.  However I would by now come to realise what a bunch of total idiots Farage, Johnson, Reece-Mogg, Gove etc are, and never listen to another word these cretins uttered.

As a leave voter, would you accept the consequences of your own actions – that your medication was not available to you?

davebro3 – I take it that you would not be willing to accept the consequences of your actions.

they'll be first in the queue for scarce medicines hymie

I have always accepted the consequences of my actions willingly or otherwise.

NJ has comprehensively demolished your anti-brexit rants on another thread. Just give it up.

Question Author

I don’t recall NJ extolling the virtues of medicine shortages due to Brexit.

I assume you can't get yours hence this constant maniacal banging on daily. Reputable source on world-wide drug shortages say:

"Why are there drug shortages?

Shortages of drugs have not been restricted to the UK, they have been a feature of health services across the globe. The reasons are complex, but include:

manufacturing problems, including shortages of raw materials, issues with industrial capacity and flexibility, medicine recalls and product quality problems

distribution or logistical problems, including capacity issues international trade barriers and excessive exporting or deliberately withholding the supply of medicines

increased demand for medicines and/or changing prescribing patterns, in response to changing guidance or health needs, especially where this is unanticipated.

changes in pricing and drug reimbursement arrangements for medicines.

Geopolitical factors, such as the Covid-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine"

In fact the only source I can find that blames it on Brexit is the The Guardian :-) Quelle surprise!!

So the pharmacy knows who "voted for Brexit"?

Really? Where else holds this information, Tesco, Starbucks, the BBC, ITV and Sky?

i think leave voters are due a bit of resentment. they got everything they wanted and it has turned out to be rubbish.... and it's the rest of us who must live with it.

I voted leave - I don't feel resentful...

I think it's the hierarchy in Brussels that feels resentful, judging by their petulence.

Most people here are either laughing at Hymie or sympathising with him as he clearly has issues around obsession. He makes a claim and then comes up with this ridiculous idea of identifying and punishing Brexit voters. It may all seem so pointless but perhaps acts as some sort of therapy for Hymie. Keep 'em coming Hymie- the threads only serve to convince Brexit supporters more that Out was the right choice for them

Looks like another of "The truth hurts" posts from Hymie .When will you Brexiteers realise you were sucked in you suckers ..and now you are paying the price.

08:07 untitled, I know you to be a reasonable man, don't encourage hymie, I worry for his mental health.

Having already been told that identifying who voted brexit is impossible, by the judge, twice; are you now proposing that brexiteers be denied medicine?

Hymie's posts are becoming more nonsensical by the day.

what is the point of even replying to people like Hymie and others who, when presented with facts that disprove what they are saying, just ignore them and ask the same question again from a slightly different angle. They are not interested in any form of debate, in reality how can you have a debate with anybody who thinks if you don't agree with them you are automatically an idiot. The site is partially to blame, they state trolling is not allowed but by not defining what it thinks trolling is, allows it here everyday.

This seems to be a what if? Scenario, rather than what's actually happening. As if anyone is going to agree to it though As it is ridiculous. about as ridic as saying anyone who didnt vote labour can keep their WFA, But those who did, can't

"The pharmacist notes that according to their records you voted for Brexit,...."

How about addressing the four problems I illustrated in your other two threads on his theme?

In particular, how about telling us how the pharmacist annotated his records to show how people voted.

If you can't (which is a certainty) how about giving this nonsense a rest?
