The Covid PPE scandal is one of the most egregious examples  of political sleaze and mismanagement of public money in recent memory. £10bn was wasted on unusable PPE and that's the figure that comes from the government itself. Now it is all about to be uncovered  about the Conservatives dodgy deals and cronyism during the pandemic that has now paved the way the appointment of a covid corruption commissioner.   Can't wait ..bring it on Sir keir.

Gulliver, take note.  Rule 5. Do not post any material that is defamatory, obscene, unlawful, threatening, in breach of copyright or otherwise objectionable.

@09.41.We wont be able to post anything at all in that case?

During the corrupt 14 years of Tory rule, many of my posts on AB pointing out their corruption (that was also covered by the press) were for some reason deleted from AB.

I’m still waiting for any of my posts critical of Labour to be deleted.

Perhaps pointing out how corrupt the Tories are, is objectionable (see Rule 5) to most ABers.

Hymie 09.51 "I am still waiting for any of my posts critical of Labour to be deleteted"    I also have noticed that any posts critical to Labour are never removed even when they are defamatory ,obscene ,unlawful, threatening, in breach of copyright or otherwise objectionable. Can't in heaven think why.Can you.?

Yeah - but what about that BORIS eh? 🤣

To my mind, Private Eye is in danger of becoming a joke – from reporting on multi-million pound scams perpetrated by corrupt Tories, to now reporting on Labour MPs receiving free tickets to football matches & music concerts, plus £100 hospitality dinners.

fat chance, starmer could not even address his failure to prosecute the grooming gangs, not to mention savile, and rolf harris,,yes gullible all on he's watch,so please have your love affair with starmer somewhere else

and al fayed

Despite my doom & gloom assessment of recent Private Eye issues – Tory regional mayor Lord (Ben) Houchen is doing an admiral job of keeping up the Tory tradition of scamming the public purse, using the Teesside Freeport as his vehicle for personal enrichment.

This has been a long running saga in Private Eye that began under the last Tory government, with Houchen being enabled by the slimy git Michael Gove.

Question Author

I think there are far too many Blue Birds amongst the AB mods.

Question Author

Hymie 21.39 Do you think that the "Slimy git Michael Gove" was involved in the Suspicious looking contract for usless PPE equipment Awarded to Baroness Mone and her slimy git husband....I do.
