Does the recent ruling that women are women and men are men render the gender recognition certificates some trans people hold void - and will any changes made to birth certificates etc now have to be reversed?

They should revert to truth as official documentation ought not contain lies.

GRCs are different, they merely show the individual can't accept the reality of who they are, which is likely to remain true; but have no actual use/value apart from that.

It's ridiculous that they were ever allowed to change the sex on their birth certificates. It's about status at birth. This person was a boy at birth. 
 

This is such a mess. I can't see it ending.
