Not sure I'd call it a metaphor - but I think the lion is dead.

I'm reminded of the Stanley Holloway comic monologue, Albert and the Lion.

I thouight it was Rachel Reeves at morning prayers.

I like cats, its a lovely picture.

Realistically, a child and an awake lion is not a picture that represents Britain either.

The answers so far tell me more than that picture.

What answers did you want?

Just pretending to be asleep, will soon have an amuse bouche of inquisitive child's brains.

Shouldn't the little boy be wearing a frock, with perhaps a ribbon in his pink hair? 🤔👀

Is this picture supposed to have something to do with England's football team or the Lionesses?

Britain has recently been battered by the pandemic, wokeism, indifferent goverments & the long march through the institutions, but fear not. The Lion may be dozing but it ain't dead yet.

The tide is turning, so please stop running your country down.

It is a good picture and relevant at this time, but hopefully good times are ahead.
