Just because you don't agree there are 173 genders or that a man can somehow become a woman or all the invaders are our friends does not = far right. They are labelled thus because they have the temerity to want whats best for their own nation. Why are the Wokestapo suddenly the standard by which these labels are handed out?

What have you been told about taking strong drink for breakfast?

It's sheer laziness which can be translated as "the left have no answers left!"

Of course the other side of the coin is labelling those who don't worship at the feet of Thatcher as weak-minded liberalscum.

Catch yourself on Tora, you're a clickbait machine.

It's because people who do the labelling are idiots. However, this applies to both 'sides'

Just because you don't agree with me or I don't agree with you doesn't mean you or I have to be demonised.

It seems to me that you are the one doing most of the labelling, just because people have the temerity not to agree with you.

It's not sudden.  It's been a creeping, festering blight on society for some years now.  Labels are designed and intended to silence those who don't adhere to the requirements.

I was thinking of titles like here in naomi's question:

https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Society-and-Culture/Question1889208.html

No one is turning to the "far right" they are just not entirely happy with the direction their nation is taking.

^Absolutely!

^That to bednobs.

I've always felt it was a tool to slience people and to stifle debate.

There have many many times over the years on this board where people have been accused of an 'ism', been described as an 'ist' or been accused of a 'obia' where none exists - the latest seems to be Canary's missuse of xenophobia whenever something is questioned.

Like sinead I find it lazy - it's simply used to try to shut people up rather than engaging in debate.

agreed dd

Odd that it is fine to call folk, "trobicites" or Vichy British Quisling Collaborators, when they don't agree totally with you...

Unbridled air of superiority mixed with lifelong insecurities as he tries to climb the social ladder but only makes it to the golf club.

No wonder he's confused.

I did flirt with Golf about 30 years ago dougie but didn't really get on with it. Now I just stick to Polo much more socially acceptable.

^That'll be the mints.

I tried water polo once but unfortunately my horse was not a strong enough swimmer.

I'll get me coat.

I wondered if there is a word for using the same meaning in three different words as in Vichy, Quisling and Collaborators but Google couldn't discover, locate or find such a word...
