10 days ago I saw a dog with a collar in my yard. I walked back inside and when I came back out I didn't see it. I posted about it in my local buy and sell page and the lost and found page. I also called the humane society and they said they would keep an eye out for it. There is another buy and sell page with more members I was gonna post on but forgot. Should I still post about it? Im afraid ill get nasty comments from people asking me why I'm posting about it almost 2 weeks later.

don't bother unless you see it again
I think it would take an idiot to vilify you for doing such a good deed Cindy. I'm sure the dogs boss would be pleased.

Also I start a new job soon and im afraid ill be fired for it.
I shouldn't think so. No connection at all!
I presume you are in the U.S. In the the U.K. you would contact your local Council who has a dog warden that would go and get it or the the R.S.P.C.A.
Cindy, leave it. You did what was right when you first saw the dog and for all you know its gone back to its owner. Why do you think you will be fired for not posting about a potentially lost dog, which doesn't make sense?
Contact your local humane society.
she already did that when she first saw the dog -read the post!

Oh dear Cindy
Castigated if you do.
Lambasted if you don't.
