///////Jesus was a perfect man??
Mark 10:18 Jesus said to him: “Why do you call me good ? Nobody is good except one, God. .
C/p One of the cardinal teachings of the Bible is the ransom. Sin and death came upon mankind when a perfect man, Adam, transgressed Jehovah’s law. For obedient mankind to be released from the condemnation of sin and death, a ransom must be paid. It must be the exact equivalent of the perfect man Adam, for God’s law requires exactness: “You must give soul for soul, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.” So for Jesus to provide the ransom he must be a perfect man, no more, no less. Further, if Jesus had been a spirit garbed in flesh he could not really have died at man’s hands; and if he did not really die, again we see that the ransom could not have been provided. But the Bible is clear that Jesus did provide the ransom and that he was a man, not God clothed in flesh: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man Christ Jesus, who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all.”—Ex. 21:23, 24; 1 Tim. 2:5, 6, The Bible in Living English
Locusts, why do you not understand that bible passages do not equate to evidence? Furthermore, why do you not understand that because of that your inclusion of said passages fails to convince anyone that what you’re saying has any substance. If you want to have a conversation have one ... in your own words... if you can.

//Society & Culture Religion & Spirituality site
///I thought this was a religious site 4 debates and to be able to put your point of view with scriptures to clarify ? what you are talking about ? this seems like you and your friends how are atheist only want to talk about a load of rubbish to me ???-- some of us ? who are Christians ? it just goes to show how inadequate you are in Bible knowledge,, because we as Christians have been told that the greater number Will cool off ? Or would have a form of godliness but proving Force to it ? and there will be less Christians at the end of the critical days? {Armageddon}
2 TIMITHY 3. 5 American Standard Version
holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power therefore. From these also turn away.
MATTHEW.7. 2. 23
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Locusts, when you post links to bible verses or copy and paste chunks of bible texts you are not putting your point of view. You are putting someone else’s point of view. Can you not speak for yourself?
Yes, I have faith so I believe He did exist :) I don't mind if others think differently
I think he probably existed too, Barry, and I don’t have faith.

///Faith is, therefore, the basis for hope and the evidence for conviction concerning unseen realities. Christian faith is based on the complete Word of God , YES THE COMPLETE word ,, not bits and pieces? this is a diary {bible }from the beginning until now ? 4 us to day and have insite for the future. God’s record { diary - bible }of providing for his earthly creatures serves as a valid basis for believing that he will surely provide for his servants, and his record as a Giver and Restorer of life lends ample evidence to the credibility of the resurrection hope.?? ACT 24 .15
having hope toward God, which these also themselves look for, that there shall be a resurrection both of the just and unjust... But faith cannot be taken for granted, because lack of faith is ‘the sin that so easily entangles one.??’ To maintain a firm faith requires putting up a hard fight for it, Faith does not grow on trees it is a constant Battle of learning and taking in accurate knowledge ?
Blah, blah, blah - what a load of old pony!
Locusts, //Christian faith is based on the complete Word of God//

But ignores the contradictions.

//lack of faith is ‘the sin that so easily entangles one.??’//

The concept of sin was designed to subjugate and to indoctrinate the fearful with notions of guilt. Since I understand that, I’m not entangled.

If you were to read the New Testament and remove all the ‘magic’, what do you think you’d be left with?
My father was an atheist but had read the bible in its entirety several times. He thought Jesus was a teacher and healer. I can't understand the derogatory comments, you believe or you don't and should respect another person's views. That seems to be too much to expect on here sometimes.
//you believe or you don't and should respect another person's views.//

Does that work both ways - and, in your opinion, should everyone respect all views?

NOAMI 24.10:55 Mon 21st Jun 2021 But ignores the contradictions.
If you were to read the New Testament and remove all the ‘magic’, what do you think you’d be left with ?

//// where do you say there is a contradiction if so ? please give me the verse and directions and I will check it Out ? ? Secondly if you strip away all the magic you say there is ? and there what are you left with there is ? There no magic,, the almighty GOD to not make idle promises these promises will be fulfilled in his own good time -and and he's are not just magical words they will be fulfilled had Armageddon at the last days .The magic you are thinking is your own imagination. But there is . a way of saving your life,, you have the opportunity of living forever on this paradise Earth or even maybe go to heaven ,That could be a possibility ??, but there is no magic in faith,,? the faith is left to you and your responsibility to your account .
I accept the possibility of a Nazarene rebel leader/teacher not the whole son of God malarkey. No contemporaneous records have been found but it is possible that they may have done but long since crumbled and been lost. In the great scheme of things, as even mankind is an irrelevance why worry about it. Like any other species we will one day disappear. A mass extinction event .....hope they have a good queuing system if I am wrong. Both places will need extra staff on the turnstiles
