Who Is Worse In This And Why?

There is this situation that I have spent a lot of time thinking about. I'm currently a senior in high school, and this happened last year (2020).
Someone in school was an overall ass to me. He would try to take and spread embarrassing photos of me, consistently poke jokes at me, touch my stuff, and overall disrespect me.
One photo of me he spread was of me looking at my crush's insta profile, and it was badly timed. My eyes were closed and mouth was open, and it looked like I was jerking off. He laughed and said the whole school saw it.
One time, I was on my laptop looking at a video called "how to get a gf". I minimized it to look at colleges. The kid came up to me, and in front of me, put his fingers on my keyboard, pulled up the video, laughed at me, and told some classmates in the same room what I was watching.
One day, I even felt very sad at one point (not depressed, just sad one morning due to a recent fight with my parents, not related to him), that I looked up suicide on my laptop. The kid took a pic of me doing so and tried to spread it around. He laughed and said a quarter of the grade saw it.
In June, I impersonated him on reddit and made some awful posts insulting some classmates, and sent that impersonation account to 7 people to try to get it to spread.
I also posted a pic of him on Reddit and pretending to be him, called him by his name, his state, and that he was a pervert.
Also in October, I told everybody how much of a jerk he was to me, and told everyone to stay away from him because of how awful he is. He is complaining that his reputation got ruined. Oh well.
I defamed him on both Reddit and Rawconfessions, giving out his first and last name, as well as saying lies about him bullying kids with Downs Syndrome and him being a pedophile and stuff like that. I also wrote about him being a rapist, sex offender, child molester, and other vulgar things. If you can imagine the worst things one can describe someone else, that was how I described him. I basically pretended to be him writing those things, and some of those things are popping up in the Google Search if you look up his first and last name. I first did that back in June of 2020, before doing some in October, and finally doing some in December.
The posts were taken down, as I was forced to by my parents. When you look the kid's name up on Google, they don't pop up. However, when you look his name up on other web browsers, like Microsoft Edge, Bing, Yahoo, Duckduckgo, among other search engines, both the title and content of those posts still appear.
I had just learned last week that the kid had to go to see a doctor because after I made those posts about him, he lost weight, had trouble sleeping, and lost his appetite.
I feel as though the kid is overreacting to my revenge, because nobody actually harassed him through those posts, and he was able to get into college just fine.
Many people are saying that I ruined the kid's life, however, if employers only look your name up on Google, then you should be fine.
Who was worse?

You, obviously. He posted stuff you were actually doing. You made up the vilest things to post about him. You're quite the low-life. In my most humble of opinions, of course.
You were both worse & acted very childishly. You took your revenge using a powerful tool that you had no control over. Stop doing it & don't do it again. When he is out of college & job hunting I doubt if prospective employers will be looking him up on the internet or seeing what you posted.
I think you already know the answer to this question and you are hoping that somebody will say it is not true.
You already know, I think, that the things you did were appallingly awful. They are things that could affect that kid for the rest of his life. The posts that he spread about you were things you were actually doing - things that would be laughed about and made a joke of. the things you posted about him were life changing for him. Shame on you. Have you apologised?

No I did not apologize. Also, FYI, he didn't post stuff about me. POS spread them through SMS.

And you're saying someone getting suicidal is a funny thing to laugh at? In case you haven't read the original post, anything I posted about him were already deleted off of Reddit, the title and content simply appear in some search engines such as Edge, Bing, Yahoo, and Duckduckgo, among others, but Google is not one of them.

So I think the kid should be fine for his future, don't you agree?
Are you really bothered about what we think?
One thing's for sure - he'll think twice before taking the pee out of anyone else!
Why ask if you are going to ignore answers you don't like

Well I'm just confused why everyone thinks I ruined his life or something. The deleted posts don't pop up in Google, the most widely use search engine out there. They only pop up in other search engines.

I've always thought that as long as they don't pop up in Google, then the kid should be fine.
I can only think this is a wind-up. No decent human being would even have to ask. Have you read what you've actually put up there that you posted about another human being and don't expect them to be devastated and potentially suicidal?? It was vile and unforgivable. And you know perfectly well that millions of people use Bing, Yahoo etc. The fact it's no longer visible on google is irrelevant, this person knows you wrote it and that many others will have read it.
You seem to be obsessed with the internet. You named him, created a load of lies about him, and expect him not to be affected. Of course he is going to be. Just imagine if he got so depressed and committed suicide, it would be your fault. You sound like a thoroughly nasty person, and in answer to your question, you are far, far worse than him.
Wind up merchant alert ....?
I hope it's a troll rather than a genuine story. The correct response from you would've been to knock his block off, instead you set out to destroy his life. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Ok, but he still saw me getting suicidal from a fight with my parents and treated that as a laughing matter. Is that supposed to be okay?
Nope, but that isn't an excuse for your actions. What you did could have had life changing consequences for the kid. Stigma like that isn't easily shaken off.

So you're basically arguing that if it is anywhere on the Internet, not just Google, then a potential employer would find it?

But don't you also think that maybe he would be fine, since employers are probably smart enough to understand that stuff like this happens all the time? The kid has nothing on his record, and the posts are there, which means any employer would understand that the posts would be false. Plus, the kid was able to get into college just fine.

With all that being said, do you still think I ruined his life?
Life isn't just about getting employed you know.
Question to OP: Do you think he ruined YOUR life?

Many would call you a nasty piece of work. I would suggest you seek counselling and try to work on your attitudes to revenge and vindictive tendencies. Otherwise this character trait will come back into your life time and time again.
And what if...somehow...a potential employer or partner discovers *your* behaviour? How do you think your future might be affected?
It's out there, and you can't really erase every trace.
That's how criminals are caught.
Do not try and justify your own appalling behaviour by comparing it to others.

You should be ashamed - both by your behaviour and now by your attempts to minimise and justify it.

Go away and grow up.
Did you ruin his life? Maybe, maybe not, but what you did had the potential to do just that. How would you have felt had he been attacked by someone who had seen and believed what you wrote?
