What was odd about the dog walker?
What was odd about you to make the cowherd look at you quizzically?
Very pastoral, Bobbi. I’m looking down the back of my sofa for some motivation to get my aaarz outside. I know I left it somewhere......

I got in there space I think Shoots haha
The odd dog walker was the OH :0)
I went out yesterday afternoon with the pack and I've sat on the sofa for so long now my calf muscle went.
Now I'm sat on the sofa because I can't walk...
Did you walk through the herd of cows with a dog Bobbi or were you on the other side of the fence?
Five miles eh?
That probably took you more than an hour ;-)

Shhh itch, I’d did :0/
APG, I’ve just been informed off my daughter we’d taken the wrong turning and were on private property, the big beasts I thought were cows were bulls and yes we had Lola with us

Naughty and lucky I’d say , lol
Lovely, Bobbi.
A friend of mine lives on the edge of Dartmoor, so she heads up there every day for peace and quiet.
Christ bobbi you were lucky, even without a dog, at this time of the year cows are really dangerous. At one point we had 120 Angus cows and I would not ever go in the field except if I was on a horse. My OH reckons the nearest he got to death was checking on a cow who had just calved in a pen and it got him down on the ground and started to butt him, he was only saved by the fact the pen door was tied up with baler twine which snapped. Cows are evil! :-)
Looked again at the pic Bobbi -Bullocks! Young bullocks love to chase people lol!
My uncle (a farmer) told me that if cows start to walk towards you you should raise your arms above your head as they have bad eyesight and will mistake you for a bull. I’ve tried it a few times and it works. Very scary incident when walking in Derbyshire Dales once.

Bliddy hell, we were lucky then, my daughter said “ How on earth did you manage to go through past the livestock “
She’s taking us the proper way tomorrow if we stay behind them
// as they have bad eyesight and will mistake you for a bull.//

What if ones in heat? you will have to run even faster lol!
They didn`t look too fussed to me. All happily sitting down. I would have walked past them (probably not with a dog though)
Hey Bobbi. Please be more careful when walking past any cattle with a dog.
We once had about 50/60 cows in our garden. They had broken through the fence. Went out armed with broom to shoo them back. Also got home from shopping to find 18 bullocks and 6 sheep in front garden. Managed to get them in top part of garden ready for collection by farmer.
Please be careful.
Question Author
I’ll not be doing that again LJ, we obviously took the wrong tow path, Lola was on her lead at all times

Question Author
237SJ, it appears we were accidentally trespassing
Good grief.
I’ve run and walked through fields of cattle for years and never had a problem. Sometimes animals will approach you thinking you have something for them but other than that ...
There was a cow that would try to kick you in the milking parkour mind you :-)
^ Me too. I was brought up around them. Only thing I never did was try to ride one like a pony. That was a step too far.
