No. An idiot.

Do you know the song, Theland?

And do you ever express a view with some kind of reasoned explanation, rather than a simple assertion?
One of the greatest songwriters of the 20th century, but that's a strange lyric to quote!
Agreed, on both points!

Mozz, I suppose I was thinking about the mind control that goes on. In Frank's day it was mainly advertising, now it is mainly advertising, but with democratic subversion thrown in.
I see what you intended Atheist, but in isolation it isn't recognisable by that subtext.

Still, Zappa was a genius.
I don't know much about Zappa apart from "Weasels ripped ............", but that song sounds like cheap fairground music.
I was into psychedelia, comical so as well, but Zappa didn't do it for me.
Question Author
Mozz I think you have a more modern education than I do. Can you explain your comment in a more old-fashioned way?
Chemicals as well, but they were comical ^^^^^^^
Question Author
Theland, he was probably an acquired taste. Picture a can of beer when you were a kid...
Once had a friend that was well into Frank Zappa.
He was nuts as well....
Atheist, I just meant that the meaning of the lyric is lost when quoted in isolation like that.
Question Author
Mozz, I was hoping that people might recognise the reference. I didn't want to deliver an analysis. Perhaps I should be more detailed in my remarks. I'm not totally au fait with the protocol here. Thanks for your comments.
Atheist, no foul no harm. I think Zappa is a little too obscure for that, especially in AB! Still, it made me smile just knowing there are other fans here.

Mozz; first came across him in Holland (a club called Ouwer de Brugge or something) we were folkies and I didn't really appreciate the strange racket although it was somewhat intriguing. Learned more later when we expanded to a five-piece and the drummer was a great fan.
Memo to self - Listen to Zappa later, give him a fair hearing. (Genius? We'll see.)
Question Author
Theland, I have a feeling that you won't like his work. Hope I'm wrong. But it's all a matter of taste. Happy listening.
Cheers atheist. In my brain I am still seventeen, looking for a brain mash :-)
Just had new earphones bought for me.
