Monday, Matt Hancock said masks are on there way to hospitals as we speak, this morning when questioned he said we've ordered three and a half million, which is it? as they stand there telling lies nurses are falling sick, and scared to go to work. One nurse tonight on TV in tears because of their down right lies.

And this affects your life because?
could be both, on the face of it. But it's clear not all NHS staff have the masks they need to avoid catching (and transmitting) the virus.

Some have had enough of the shortages

Why can't they both be true? Getting the right number to each hospital department, doctors surgery etc must be a logistical problem. I think the speed is disappointing though- maybe each surgery/ hospital should have been able to order via something like Amazon who still seem to be able to deliver within 24 hours

It might help if the French stopped trying to impound lorries carrying them.
the NHS is “well capable of handling the most tremendous pressures”, according to Boris, and that was back at the start of the month. Typical of the soothing noises from the government that unfortunately can't be believed.

The logistical problem was his excuse towards the end of last week.
There's 3500 white van men in this country who deliver 24/7, that's without Amazon.

SO what do you think the problem is due to, teacake? Do you think they are not prepared to spend the money? DO you think they can't be bothered? Do you think they've lost them?
the nurse was talking about morons hoarding. Please outline the "lies" and your evidence.
lefties point scoring again.
"This morning when questioned he said we've ordered three and a half million, " - the operative word, here, "ordered" that means they are "on order" ie, not yet available, geddit?

The problem is a government telling NHS workers lies, and standing by watching nurses fall ill, when they had three months to prepare for what was coming, throwing money at the problem now is to late.

22.17 when Monday he was delivering them???
what lies?
I'd agree, with hindsight, that the masks and other protective equipment should have been in place but I don't remember you or anyone posting 3 months ago (before Christmas) that a major pandemic was heading our way quickly
I might have misunderstood, but I thought the 3.5 million figure referred to antibody tests. Might have been masks as well.

The government's approach has been behind the curve, there's no doubt about that. In the last week or so there has been a massive pivot, a clear attempt to catch up with something that was spiralling out of control. I hope it succeeds.

classic example of be careful what you wish for Eh Borisy old chap .
I think you are confused. He was delivering some (in that staged footage). Lots have arrived at hospitals. But not enough. Some are on the way in lorries/depots, some are in the wrong hospitals (some too many others too few) and some are on order or on the way to the UK.
Remember every country wants these masks and there weren't a billion lying around just in case

When you see a nurse tell you she wants to save lives, and is prepared to put her own life on the line, but is in tears because she can't have a simple mask that will help protect her is shameful, and this is one gal that didn't bother to hide her face when interviewed.
