Monday, Matt Hancock said masks are on there way to hospitals as we speak, this morning when questioned he said we've ordered three and a half million, which is it? as they stand there telling lies nurses are falling sick, and scared to go to work. One nurse tonight on TV in tears because of their down right lies.

22.22 you seem to be making as many excuses as Matt Hancock
Guess I'm just a typical Tory :/

It's important to criticise the government when appropriate, but it's also important to support them in tackling the crisis. Johnson et al have drawn the short straw in terms of who was in charge when this hit. I don't envy them their jobs right now.
Right oh. So you got it wrong and then say we're making excuses

The beginning of February when they stated that they would be getting ready 500 beds to cope with the virus gives you some idea of how dim this government have been. I stated on her around the 6th February that we should be doing what China were doing getting thousands ready, and I was classed on here has being a worrier, Now their running around like headless chickens to get them ready, and the rest of the equipment they need, no amount of money will stop it now.

22.35 jim, what it does prove now is that they have always had billions they could have invested in the NHS, instead watched people die before this virus, and watch the NSH struggle.
maybe they were "behind the curve", yes maybe there have been errors. Now please tell me what "lies" you are talking about, with your evidence. Mis judgements, slow reactions, errors, etc are not lies.
Let's focus on what we can all do to help, including how we can show forbearance with everyone who is clearly trying to help- civil servants, ministers, doctors and medical advisers to the government, , supermarket staff, financial institutions, DWP, HMRC, etc. The time for saying what we should have done months ago or years ago, and/or for scoring political points about what has happened (or is thought to have happened) , is not now. There will be a major inquest afterwards and I think the legacy may be that we have emergency capacity plans in the NHS going forwards which can be called on at short notice and maybe a larger pool of trained staff and beds at all times

I don't have to sit here and prove anything at all to you TTT, however you could take time out to listen to what the NHS nurses are saying, or would you demand proof from them? you could also listen to Piers Morgan, and thank god we've got him to bring these ministers to book. As regards to getting the tests mixed up with the supply of protective equipment is really neither here or there, but thanks to the ones who bought it to my attention, but it doesn't alter the fact that they have dragged their feet for 3 months, and put NHS workers in grave danger, and their families. As for Matt Hancock being filmed with his jacket off helping to unload boxes of masks off a van is pathetic, and the oldest trick in the book, and this post has nothing to do with scoring political points as suggested.
"Matt Hancock said masks are on there way to hospitals as we speak, this morning when questioned he said we've ordered three and a half million, which is it? " - both, the masks we have are on the way, and millions are on order. How is that a lie?
