I am dating a 37 year old woman who is VERY shy. It s kind of a turn off honestly. She has no social life and no friends and doesn t go out any place except to work. I We ve only been dating 3 months. We double dated with my friends and she didn t click with them at all. They thought he was weird because she hardly said much and even when she did, not much of what she said made any sense. I haven t spoken to her in a few days and not interested in seeing her anymore.

Then you should be honest with her but kind too.
Well do her a favour and tell her it's over. NICELY.
So why are you pursuing this, you arent that attracted, nor is she
Wait for her to contact you and then tell her ( as gently as you can ).
You've been dating three months and you have nothing to say to each other?
Don't ask her out again.
That's it.
She doesn't 'click' with your friends and now you want out ??
What did you have in common that you started dating in the first place ?

Interesting profile.
If she has no social life ect where did you meet her?
Suppose it's irrelevant really, if you don't fancy her and she doesn't fancy you why bother?

Think you'll be doing her a favour by ending it, maybe she wants to end it also but is too shy to say.
Welcome to AB, babycakes. I agree with most already posted but particularly Darcey...

How do we know the girl wants to end it. ? Just because he does, it could be a shock to her when he dumps her !
Seekeerz babycakes profile says she's also female.
Be kind and patient. When she eventually opens up to you, you may find you have helped somebody who really needed somebody like you.
And then what treasures you may find in this new relationship.
Oops missed that, thanks Arky xx

No problem, ready to pounce though weren't you when you thought it was a bloke ;-) It were tonyav's post @ 00:54 that caught my attention.

I find that rather unusual, did it take that long to compose this question?
Exactly, but could be genuine.
Awkwardness in social situations is often a sign of autism. As someone who's on the autism spectrum myself, I seem to be drawn towards others with autism, so I suspect that I might actually find the lady's apparent 'shyness' to be attractive to me.

As a moderator, I frequently take a look at members' profiles when I see 'unusual' questions. The record, so far, is an interval of 12 years between joining the site and posting a first question, so Babycakes81 seems to be quite quick off the mark to me ;-)

BTW, I see nothing wrong with a female referring to dating a woman. I had to apologise to an ABer earlier this year after I assumed that they were male simply because they'd referred to 'my wife'.
I'd be flattered if a 37 year old was interested in me !
If you are attracted to her isnt it a case of adapting to her or helping her open up as all relationships involve adjustment.
