Whilst I think it's none of the business of the woman who left the note in the link for parents dumping their kids off at nursery, is she correct?

When our first child arrived we took the old fashioned decision that we wanted a parent to raise her rather than a stranger, and therefore my wife gave up work (and she had a damned good job). It was a real struggle going down to one salary and we sacrificed a lot, for years, but ultimately we felt it was worth the sacrifice.

Get rid of child benefit and pay a parent to stay at home with their child/ten til they start school
Sheila should mind her own beeswax.
roopower do you think that the rate paid in child benefit is enough for a mother to stay at home?
Because its not and would cost a lot of money per 'mother' to do this.
Anonymous letters should be ripped up and thrown away with no further consideration. Anyone too cowardly to include a genuine name is not to be taken seriously. This is just spite, ( and possibly jealousy) and nobody should give it another thought.
