listening to news this last 30 minutes or so, bbc news have been very quick to state that this was an islamaphobic attack ( finsbury park mosque )
the word islamaphobia has been used every single minute, hate attack , white , direct attack on muslims.

what about the many knife , machete and axe attacks carried out, not to mention the jihadi rapes against our children by " muslim men " against white europeans ?

now the word
" far right exremists " has been used.
" hatred towards islam & muslims "
" muslims under attack "
" white supremasist attack "
This is only the beginning I'm sure of it, as sad as it is.
How else are they suppose to describe it?
Question Author
of course it was a terrorist attack !! and i do not agree with anyone being killed whether muslims or christians or blacks or whites .
but... why have we not seen reporting on muslim men killing white christian europeans ,
" muslim " rape gangs raping white european children in uk and sweden , dont sugar coat it or hide it...this is happening and being carried out by " muslim men "

Dick....our media have been full of very little else, for a long time now. Violence and terrorism are to be abhorred, whoever causes it.
We have seen reporting on Muslim gangs. How else would you know about it?
Handy word – Islamophobia. There’s a word that defines hatred of humanity – misanthropy - but I don’t think there is a word that defines hatred of everyone other than Muslims, is there?
You can make one up and see if it is taken up.
Yes, we don't say an attack on Christians do we...

UMMM
" We have seen reporting on Muslim gangs. How else would you know about it? " well i bet you didnt know about it untill recently but this has been going on for years.
( http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/635942/Islam-Scholar-Saud-Saleh-Cairo-Slavery-Muslim-Women-Pagan-ISIS-Al-Azhar-University-Egypt ) part of jihad as quoted in their book.

not widely or instantly reported by bbc and mainstream media which it should have been, not reported that these barbaric evil vile acts against non muslim european children have been carried out by " muslim " men .
german train attack ( amoungst others) a " muslim " man with an axe hacks and kills people on train, media were quiet for days !! but we or at least some of us knew allready that this was an attack against white noin muslim europeans by a " muslim " man.
but hey presto , he was mentally ill !!

but go ahead UMMMM can you find any more excuses ?
I'm unsure finding extreme examples of what is being preached/excused by some idiot cleric in a foreign land/culture nor what some evil brainwashed groups might believe there, and act according to, is relevant to isolated incidents by individuals who are deemed to be ill, in a western culture/country. Where groups here are behaving abominably then it's reported. Folk have posted articles of that nature here in an effort to tar all Muslims with the same brush, time and again.

The observation that there is no accepted phrase for Christianophobia or nonMuslimophobia was fair enough, but you now seem to be weakening your argument by going on the "all Muslims are evil and anyone who disagrees is making excuses for them all" rant.
Proud to be British - the man is a patriot and a hero ?? Squabbling over semantics is at best a petty, unseemly distraction.
I am not sure about your OP Dick.

Do you mean to say that attacks on muslims for being muslim shouldn't be classed as islamaphobia?

Or that you want a word like it for the attacks on non-muslims by muslim extremists/terrorists?

Why is the BBC quoting the opinions of extremist organisations like the British Council of Muslims?

And why is Ab Editor colluding in the "Islamophobia" racket?
vetuste_ennemi - wot are you on about?
ED, define Islamophobia. Tell me what you know about the BCM (if anything).

Aren't you just a sounding board for the conventional wisdom unmediated by any critical independent analysis?
... which is kind of wot I woz on about.
I do prefer your predecessor. When did you take over?
"I do prefer your predecessor. When did you take over?"

About a decade ago?

My questions to DD were very innocent V-E. I think you have the wrong end of the stick.

I know what that noise is now though, the grinding of your axe!

Maybe you could expand on your position and help educate me? Because so far you've not give us very much to go on...
