Heya,

I'm currently living in Toronto, Canada though will soon be moving to Liverpool..

Could anybody please help me out with suggestions/recomendations of pubs/clubs/venues/etc on where I could go to hear indie/rock in Liverpool?

Apart from the Liverpool Echo Arena, which holds about 10,000, the main venues for rock shows are the 02 Academy in Hotham Street and, confusingly, The Academy, which was formerly known as Mountford Hall and is part of Liverpool University. These are the venues that are used mainly by established acts.

The venues mentioned in the link above are usually used by up and coming bands, although bigger acts have been known to use them for more "intimate" shows.
