Choice of names.

Enjoy AB very much , but often wonder why ABers have the names they have.
Mine is Brenda because I like the name.Anyone want to tell us their choice and why?

I have a wild imagination and decided to use the first name of a character in eastenders (my second favourite soap) and the last name of one of my all time favourite one hit wonders (chesney hawkes), i think they go well together too.

Mr Spudqueens family use a lot of nicknames, not only for people but for things. In their family 'to spuddy' means to laze around not doing a lot, and I am the Queen of Spuds - or Spudqueen because I'm very good at doing nothing!

Hate to be boring, but my name is ... my name.

It's because I am the original AB'er - I was employed by the original owners when the site carried written features on each of its sections - I did the 'Music' section, and we each - there were seven of us - moderated our own sections.

Whewn the site was running at a profit, the then owners decided to dispense with the features, but I stayed on as an AB'er, and barring illness and holidays, I have been here very day since.

Back in those days. no-one bothered with interesting names, so we all used out own names, and I see no reason to change mine now - most people seem to know me, and I certainly can't be doing with mutiple names!

Totterdown because it is a district in Bristol where I used to live.

Despite the assumption by some on here that I must be a sandal wearing, tree hugging, yoghurt knitter I'm called libertie because according to some of my friends I'm forever taking them!!

I once went to a fancy dress party as Mrs Overall from Acorn Antiques....and I use yellow marigolds for jobs like cleaning the oven.....so the name stuck
