I'm going to be in London Sat 16 Aug. Maybe some of us Answerbank users could meet up? How about you, crowdpleaser? I seem to remember you once suggested something of the kind. Or you treaclefight? paulz? Anybody? Suggestions for pubs welcome (somewhere central, please).

a cautious yes, it's my step sister's brithday so i wont be able to do evening, but a lunchtime / afternoon g&t might be nice (however, i am only twelve and am anxious to avoid a europewide manhunt involving interpol and the fbi) :-)
Yup. I'll come! Who else then?!!!

Sorry treacle, I really meant in the evening. Thanks docklands. Anyone else interested?
I would be interested, yes! I'll watch for more details!
Np. Whats everyones asl?! do other people wonder about this?! I'm 31, m, London.
Hmmm, asl? just worked that one out! 41 (yesterday), m and Teesside.
talking of meetings, how did the meet in glasgow go?
Please take great care if arranging to meet offline. No real names here, no phone numbers and let someone know where you're going: all the usual, sensible advice for your own security, protection and privacy.

Any meeting will not be endorsed by The Answerbank.

(And, as regular contributors may recall, a previous meeting led to considerable animosity and abuse on the site. Please don't let that happen again. Be responsible.) Thanks.
jjf - sorry mate can't as we are holding father in laws 80th Birthday that day. Hope it all goes well tho
If you want to exchange asl's etc or email each other; pop in to ABgroup http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/ABgroup/ [instant free access], where you can have a closer look at each other, post pics etc. :-)

OK here's a plan. Let's make it the Coach & Horses, 35 Willow Place (just off Rochester Row, Westminster). Nearest Tube Station: Victoria. I'll be there, with 'Answerbank' written on a piece of card so you'll know me, between 7.00 and 7.30. If no-one turns up, I've got other things to do. Please dont be late in case we decide to move on. Hope to see some of you there.

I looked up the fancyapint website recommended by Moog. If anyone else wants to check out this pub, go to my 'Fancy meeting up down the pub?' question in the Food & Drink category. Look for Moog's answer and you'll see the website he recommends (cheers, Moog). I chose the Coach & Horses because it looks like a good pub and it's close to where I'll be staying.

I meant of course my 'Pubs in Central London' question in Food & Drink. Sorry about that.
How do you know if it's a good pub or not Norman? ...you only said a while ago you were a canadian judge!
