How can I find out how old a pub is? I used to stay in a pub that was an old coaching inn, and friends were talking about it, asking how old it was, and I said I knew somewhere where someone would tell me where I could find out, so come on folks don't let me down!

The library local to the pub should have property register records.

Genuki (for UK pubs) might have something in one of their lists for the pubs particular area.

Even just Googling the pub's name and county might give you some info.

If you're in Scotland - the Land Register in Edinburgh will have all the details.

Most areas have a local history society, which you can trace through the local library or the local paper. It is unlikely that no member knows about this.
