oooh, that's a real toughie. It used to be Billy Connolly but these days he's gone right off the boil. Eddie Izzard is fantastic live, ditto Peter Kay. Saw a guy a couple of times at the Edinburgh Festival - Dimitri Martin, absolutely fantastic and I'm sure he'll become one of my favourites. Frankie Boyle (Mock the Week) is brilliantly funny live.

Of the ones I never got to see live....Bill Hicks and Richard Prior are my favourites.

Jasper Carrott - only in stand up though.Didn't like the sit coms he did. Seen him live and he was brilliant. Also , remember Hale and Pace? Saw them at Blackpool on the Pier a few years ago.I was really worried that they would be cr@p and detroy all my memories of them.But no! they were excellent.
