Can anyone tell me if Taunton railway station is close to the town centre please? (ie walking distance).

erm  really.

God I am sure it is not that far.....

Now if you have time on your way back,, instead of going into the new entrance - take the turning one before and you will find a perfick early victorian/Georgian laid out entrance. Definitely worth a visit

OK... the answer would depend on what is meant by "the town centre".

For example, the distance on foot from the railway station to the middle of High Street is 0.84 miles.
