as a reminder for crofter and johnalex, I'm away for a few days so repeat the clues I am still stuggling with

1. In music part of a figure in which subject and answer are brought closely together, half an em (somewhere between grantham and water newton)

2. trace; mixed up undress (east of canterbury)

3. there's one in Holloway (the only holloway I can find is in derbyshire, asearch of this reveals only one pub, the yew tree, I think the answer may be a B&B in the east sussex area, north of eastbourne)

4. a tiny ammount of money, reverse american numeracy, fashion(I will use southampton as suggested although we cant see where the letter P comes in)

5. Mix up poetic frequently and to be informed( I think this is going to be a B&B, guest house or hotel, somewhere north of towcester, ? frequently=oft, Informed=told, so three of the letters in HOTEL are included here)

best of luck and thanks again

Not sure how this quiz works, but....

There's a place north of Eastbourne called Pevensey Bay which has a castle.  There's a pub in Holloway Road (London) called The Alwyne Castle.

Any good?

I'm with ipek, not really sure what you're on about, but there is a whole area of London called Holloway, it's where Holloway prison is.

Hi Oliva

Alfreton is made up like so, frequently = oft, to be informed = learn .From the Chambers English Dictionary. I have also got Little London down twice that's all i could think of that fit this question as I lived in Holloway many years ago and their is a part of the village that is called Little London.  As  for the Hotels I have only  four it does not say that they stopped in six hotels they could have stopped in one of them for more than one night

O.K. quizmaster thanks again
Question Author
Quizmaster, just one question, how do you arrive at stretton in answer to clue No. 14

Hi Olivia

Back again,  STRETTO means what the first part of the question reads, and half of em which stands for the letter m, 1/2 this letter gives you the letter n

Hope this makes sense to you

Good luck with the quiz
