Does anyone remember this rather rowdy pub sing-a-long song.

My brother Sylvest,
had a row of 40 medals on his chest - BIG CHEST. It 'ud take all the army and the navy,
to put the wind up Sylvest.

I can only remember this first verse, and wonder if anyone knows the rest. Any answers appreciated. Many thanks.

Yeah i remember it, can't help you with many more words though except this which has stuck in my addled head for some reason.

"He's got and arm, like a leg ( a baby's leg) and a punch that'll sink a battleship (BIG SHIP) it takes all the army and the Navy to put the wind up Silvest."

Very weird little song, I think I heard mike harding do it once if that's any help.

Thank you, I remember hearing that bit. The whole song was really funny, and usually wound up being sung near the end of a Saturday evening. I must add, that was in my wild late teens time.
Have now been singing this in my mind since I first saw this question this morning.

Remember it well!!!

Thanks for the words pbeach.

I loved Mike Harding Nox!! Brilliant comedian.

Thanks everyone for the answers, especially pbeach for the lyrics. The second answer from pbeach got three stars, as this version was the original one that I once knew all the words to. Happy memories of when I was young and having a whale of a time. Those Saturday nights were great, with everybody singing their heads off, and shouting out (what's he got), (big chest), (big ship) etc. Of course everybody was well oiled by the time we got round to singing Sylveste. Isn't it aggravating when you half remember something, it kept me awake last night trying to remember it. So thanks again for taking the trouble to reply. Cheers. Schutz.
Ah, Saturday night parties at the Rugby club in the late sixties/early seventies, eh. All those rugby hunks!!!
