Diamond Painting (Hobby)

Getting fed up of my normal hobbies, like knitting, sewing, i decided to try diamond painting which is like painting by numbers but where you stick tiny acrylic pieces over the numbers instead of painting.

I enjoyed doing it but was a bit disappointed with the results, so has put me off doing another.

Has anyone else tried this? What do you think?

I have one but was a bit daunted by how small the pieces are. A friend has done several and really likes them. Perhaps it depends where you get them from, I think she gets hers free online.

Thanks Roo, i did enjoy doing it but my "home sweet home" lettering was not very clear, i had to adjust it to be able to read what it was supposed to say.

as long as you enjoy it - and practice will help improve....like anything....I look back at my 2011 drawings when I came back to pen and ink and think 'yeuck' in a number of cases.....never mind the ink choice.

Yes DTC, i will try another one, but to be honest i dont think there is much skill to it, it just a matter of sticking the required colour bead on the right number you can't go wrong. Ha ha!
Maybe there are better quality kits out there, will have a look around.
