I want to start selling on Ebay. To get some much needed cupboard space back. I need to take photos of the items to put on the site. I know nothing about digital photography. I need to purchase a camera mainly for this purpose. How many mega pixels do I need? Simple to understand software to load onto computer. Some Ebay sellers have really great close-ups of thier items which helps with attracting buyers. I would like to be able to do this too.

Especially mentions close-ups for Ebay etc. in the reviews and shows sample shots from each camera at the end of each review.

We were the same so I decided to go with "Kodak easyshare" with docking station. It sounded easy and it is. http://tinypic.com/fn5j0p.jpg I took this picture with it.

I recently bought the Sony T7 Cybershot. It is the business and will fit in your shirt pocket!!
I recently got a Fujifilm Z1 - excellent picture quality, large LCD and has a Macro setting for close up photos

Thanks Wideboy. Have looked at this site, hundreds and hundres of camera reviews. I wonder if you could be more specific. Can't face reading ALL those reviews. Thanks.
If it's just for eBay, go for a 1mb or a 2mb camera, nothing fancy. just make sure it has a macro function for good closeups. any old cheap camera you find in jessops with that sort of spec will do.

if you want to use it for something else too, go for a 4mp or 5mp. maybe even a 3mp will do you. something like the fuji f10?
