Does anyone know where I can obtain a copy of the complaints procedure for the supermarket Wm Morrison? Very long story short I have rang customer services who told me that they do not have a copy which they are able to send out to me. Surely this is not the case and that all major businesses have complaints procedure information made easily available to the consumer?
I have looked online but can find nothing regarding either Morrison's or supermarkets in general.

They may have an internal procedure to follow should complaints arrise but they may not have anything written down to give to customers.

Why do you want it and why would you need to know it?

If you have a complaint then you can either write to them with the details and request a response, talk to your local store manager or complain to a local authority if they may be interested in your type of complaint.

I wrote a letter which has been dismissed with a few short words, I was advised by my solicitor to request the complaints procedure form from customer services (who as above) say there is nothing available.
I believe they do not have to have copies of complaints procedures to send out, but they must be able to tell you where you can access one. There should be one available at the supermarket somewhere that can be shown to customers if they request it.

Why ask in store when I have no queries or comments, surely this is made available to consumers. If the main customers services cannot supply this what hope have I got obtaining one in my region?

I'd give you three stars Invisible, but I can't as I didn't ask the question. So I've give you three invisible stars, invisible ;o).
One word: escalate. Write to the very top person you can find, and copy a few people around him/her on the letter. Mention what happened, and drop the word 'Watchdog' in the letter.

How quickly things will change.

I'm afraid things started the moment you walked in that dump instead of a real supermarket, however. Things are a bit different when something goes wrong at Sainsbury's. Even Tescos. My online order was late so they gave me a full refund with a grovelling apology.

Invisible, please refer to my above answer:

The main office of customer services has received a letter which has dismissed with a few short words...
Thanks will be forth coming when Morrisons deal with their customers in a satisfactory way.

Margo, how I agree with your comment & Tesco will now be dealing with all my daily shopping needs, Thanks!
margo why do you say that its a dump and not a "real" supermarket?
Actually, I prefer Morrisons to all the others. Asda is my worst nightmare!

marg0 I obviously share you're contempt for said chain but I'm also curious as to why you so rightly have a dislike for this company?

Morrisonsis it classed as a supermarket?
Tesco, Asda & the rest offer a much bigger range of clothing, electrical & homeware?
Hello INVISIBLE if you are still there. I have sent a complaint letter to my local Morley Morrisons which has been ignored, also one to the Bradford Head Office - which has been ignored. If you are a member of staff at Morrisons, would you do me a big customer care service and get my letters answered? Most appreciated. Mrs Chris Oliver
I have written two letters to my local store manager - both completely ignored. I WAS going to write to Customer Services at Head office but after reading these answers think I'll go straight to the top, Sir Ken Morrison !
hey, i worked in morrisons for 2 yrs in the one in cardiff and all i can say is its just as much a horrible place to work for as to shop in.
y boyfriend still works in there but hes always being made to stay behind sometimes upto 4 hrs with no breaks and he wont get paid for overtime and if he said he couldnt and wlked out he would get a disaplinary.
Ken Morrison and now retired. The guy just under him has taken over, but unfortunately i do not know his name. Hope u find what you are looking for.
It is a waste of time compaining to the great Morrison empire. I have written several times about poor service and produce and have never received a reply. If you tackle their supervisors in store all you get is an attitude of 'how dare you' and a verbal assault verging on cheek. Their approach to customer service appears to be one of just get rid of them and never ever say sorry! One time I took some sausages back which were two weeks over the sell-by date and all they offered was a refund which I stupidly accepted. Later I contacted Environmental Health who went to the store but they denied all knowledge of the event and said that no such thing ever happens in their stores. Judge that as you will!
Oh great! Just got back from the STROOD, Kent branch where i had to wait 15 mins in the queue to be served which is fine, it WAS busy. Then i had a CD, the lady serving me stuck the light on for assistance then and i had finished packing, she had also now served 7 other customers B4 i got my CD. I waited for my very bad apology to which i asked if she felt 15 minutes wait acceptable for one CD, to which she replied "i very muych doubt you waited that long" and walked off... Not only had i waited now i was a liar!!!! So rude, so i got my reciept out and asked a manager who was standing nearby and had heard it all what time it was and between us we verified that i had waited 15 minutes since being served by the time on the reciept. He assured me he would have words and thats all that was on offer in the way of an apology. I am gutted it is my local store and i know i will have to use it again but i never want to go there again. It is not the 1st time the staff have been rude either.
I realise this aint helped anybody but it has helped calm me down typing it and as i have noone to complain to its a good as its going to get.

I didnt know this thread was still going...after contacting the bigwigs with registered letters etc, the store manager apologised and we were free to shop in Morrisons once again! (If we want to that is!). If you can be bothered penning a few letters make sure it's registered, it seems the guy's at the top are more understanding than the jobs worths in the stores...Good luck All
Get the Area Manager of the Store involved and ignore Store Managers as they have not got the authorisation to deal with complaints from staff (MAD) so they say.

Then Complain to "Aidan Downing" the Area Managers Boss; then if no joy complain to "Mark Guntner" hope this helps you all.

They have a internal complaints process and I have worked from them for over a year and it is the worst place I have worked, current age 34.

Address all letters to the Employee Relations and make sure you have a rep involved from a UNION (USDAW) - Area Manager (they will take it more seriously, do not have a store steward involved from a UNION as they work for Morrisons).

And above all do not back down !!!!!!!!!!

I had a disciplinary raised against me for no reason at all. The date of the disciplinary meeting they retracted it due to lack of evidence and had egg on their faces yet did not apologise for raising it.

I Put a Grievance in (which is not like me at all) because they rocked my boat so I am going to rock theirs now, good luck all will let you know how my grievance goes.
